Re: Autechre - recreate on Eurorack?

Heh, I got a Juno 106 and an R70 because I read that is what a lot of Amber was made with. I never sounded like Autechre either, and in some ways I also never sounded as good as I did when I had those two pieces of gear.

Re: Autechre - recreate on Eurorack?

I sound like Autechre all the time when it comes to sound design in my Eurorack. But do I have the soul or the composition/editing/programming/production skills to *finish* something that sounds like Autechre? fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck no :alien:

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Hmm never tried that actually, but since you can only edit one track at a time I imagine you can only record one track at a time cv or midi... I haven't had this thing long enough to answer pro questions. Maybe email the firmware developer?

Also, new firmware update last night!

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

no, but it can distribute incoming polyphonic midi signals to separate CV out channels. You can also easily copy and paste one CV/Gate track to the next and transpose that

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

sorry to double post, but besides Anthurium's incredibly helpful vids (especially showing the Euclidean and random pattern generation that isn't in the manual), are there are tips n tricks y'all have collected or functionality not in the manual that you have noticed? I looooove this thing. Made legi...

Re: Westlicht PER|FORMER Sequencer (DIY)

Let's say I'm using MI Shades DC output in the Performer CV In to manually draw a shape. How can I hit record, draw in the curve within a single loop of the sequencer, and stop recording before the sequence loops starts to overwrite the curve? Can I get the Performer to run the pattern a single tim...

Been mulling these two over as well but am waiting for the Erica Black Sequencer to release as it'll apparently be like $300 cheaper and similarly capable it seems. This post has aged well 😂 lol yeah where tf is this thing! I finally bailed on all of these options and got a Westlicht Performer!

peng33, I am glad to hear someone say this about the disting EX. Was considering ditching my mk4 for an EX, or getting a second mk4. I felt like the font on the EX was way too small. My eyesight has taken a big turn for the worse in the last six months. I'd rather deal with the known UI paradigm (f...

Boomkat reviews are notoriously outrageous. They probably have to say nice things to hawk so much rubbish electronic music, they might as well get AI to do it. Not that Autechre falls under that category obvs.

disting mission pt 3

Hi all,
I have been on a four-year and counting quest to make at least one (self) satisfying track using each disting algorithm in sequential order. I just released algorithms 33-38 (Bank "E")

The modules are cheap and sound great, but the catch is you need to spend $500 to get the converter from Behringer's revolutionary and proprietary new form of S-trig to CV/Gate.
This isn't true. The "Dual" 961 Interface retails for $79 (USD).
Jokes!
