how to fit stuff on a laptop cart (PC + Maschine and MPK Mini)
Hi all, I've had some frustrating ergonomics issues for awhile. Maybe someone here can help. I have something like this with 28" x 14" of usable room. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Techni-Mobili-30-in-Rectangular-Graphite-Chrome-Laptop-Desk-with-Adjustable-Height-Feature-RTA-B003-GPH06/302216705 My DA...

Re: Mutable Instruments Clouds 2 (watching us from the dark side)
Colleen moved to Spain 6-7 years ago, but she is a native of France. Excited to see what she can do as an early adopter of Clouds 2. She is one of my favorite musicians of all time and I'm hyped a recent blog post mentions her next two albums are ready to rock.

Re: Broadcast
Today is the 10th "anniversary" of Trish passing away. Two days away from my brother in law's birthday, who passed away 8 years ago and was a massive Broadcast fan. Wonder what kind of art her and James would be making in today's jacked up world. Certainly there would be a studio version of this phe...

Re: best & "most unique" sounding standard modules?
y'all, this thread should have stopped when the OP wrote that he wants "romantic" tones: https://www.modulargrid.net/img/imagecache/300x346_22192.jpg edit: oh shit, he said "no ponies" on the first page. my bad. dude has like 4 good different LPGs in his rack, Wasp, Schippmann, Morgasmotron, SE88, a...

Thanks as always, os! I assume the development lifetime of the mk4 has to end one of these years, but if not early 2021, hooray!

Re: Disapointing Modules
2. Disting - This will be sacrilege I am sure, but while I loved the idea of the Disting initially, I've literally never used it. Trying to remember what all the modes are, or even decipher them just put me off entirely. I'd never buy another multi-multi-function module without a screen again. The ...

Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4
I hope mods will come in and douse this convo with cold water (even though I was first to feed the troll). Complaints about UIs should stay in complaint threads. Module threads should stick to discussion about features and usage tips/requests. If you leave the disting mk4 on a single algorithm and i...

Re: WMD Sequential Switch Matrix - anything better?
On a very basic (expensive) level, you can use the WMD SSM as a quad comparator, switchable/programmable mute, logic OR, or buffered multiple.

Re: Hemisphere for Ornament and Crime: Logarhythm Branch
With the Westlicht Performer (which can probably be done with any fancy CV recorder or sequencer), I can record all of the density values into individual patterns pretty easily. SO fun.

I got an Abstract Data Octocontroller as one my first modules when I started building my eurorack. At that point, the old Pam's had some reliability issues. Octocontroller is a beast and will never leave my rack. But I bet I'd say the same thing about a PNW if I had bought that first. Get both you ...

Re: Disapointing Modules
Intellijel uMidi and Maleko Sync I tried a huge number of modules, to, back then, try to sync my modular with my daw, all of them are absolute failure, they might be synced, but totally off the grid, very unstable, never start when it should, reset / start / stop nightmare. I've decided to go the s...
