Re: modulargrid.net - the modular planner

@solitud: are there any operational issues right now? Loading racks is quite slow and takes > 10s. The site is pretty responsive otherwise. DB lookups maybe?

Re: Roland MC4 opinions...

There's one for sale on BST right now: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=238928 Bought it! It’s been an absolute pleasure to learn. I have some sort of cover on the back of mine that may allow me to upgrade the memory, but wondering if it’s possible. Mine has 1/4 inch tape in a...

The Design of the Roland Juno oscillators

This popped up in my feed today. Figured people here would be interested.

It's nicely written and illustrated but I can't speak to its accuracy.

Re: Thomann / the sssnake stackcable clones

My Ssssnake-cables arrived. First impression is good. About the same thickness as TTA Stackcables, but with a slightly more rubbery finish (reminds me very much of bugbrand bananacables if anyone is familiar). The plug/jack-combination is a lot taller than with stackcables, so they're probably not ...

Re: Thomann / the sssnake stackcable clones

Even though I don't visit Thomann's website very often, I don't remember seeing these before, and there's no review on the products pages, so these might be relatively new. BTW, I noticed it says they are "available since Dec 2020". thanks, I'll give these a try but I'm going to wait until my next ...

Re: Which old school eurorack modules don't get enough love anymore?

my vote is for the 4ms Quad Clock Distributor and the expander. It might be a little large by recent standards but it does a lot and has a simple interface. Four individual (or cascaded) clocks with mult/divide with CV control over that. Variable pulse width on the clock and CV control over that. Re...

Re: Dear Audacity: please die. Horribly.

FWIW I still use SoundForge running in Wine on a Linux laptop, but that's about the extent of my use of computer software - oh except I occasionally run the OG Recycle (in Wine) to push samples into a K2500RS. SoundForge still works pretty well for most audio editing I need to do, which admittedly i...

I'm currently working on a series of Cirklon tutorial videos, somebody posted a link to one of them already but there are three so far:
In all seriousness you've done an immense service to Cirklon users here.

Re: Next best thing to QU-bit Tri-ger? (or, other really good trigger-modules?)

Yes, I initially found the buttons on the Launch Codes a little small, but I've put it on the far left of my case, and accessing them from there works fine for me.

I'm not very familiar with the Tri-ger but I do really like the AntiMatter Audio Launch Codes

https://www.modulargrid.net/e/antimatte ... unch-codes

5 gate/trigger outputs that will record your button presses if you give it an appropriate clock.
