Re: Interesting effects for live playing

Few thoughts:

- Erbe-Verbe can go into wild territories
- Rainmaker is nuts
- Erica Blackhole DSP can be modulated a lot

For live play, using these with the Befaco Hexmix on the sends is a highly controllable setup.

Anyone tried using this to send a click track from DAW to DAW.

Appreciate there will be latency.

Re: Moog Mother 32/Subharmonican/DFAM, as the center pieces of a Eurorack?

You would have a ton of fun. The v2 firmware on the M32 is great and resolves a lot of the minor annoyances it had. A 9Ux 84 or 104 HP case gives you plenty of room to add the things you are missing. Depends what you want but I would a disting, clouds and the Octocontroller versus Pam’s (which is +v...

Mother 32 Firmware 2.0

Sorry for cross posting, but those in Eurorack world need to know about the M32 Firmware Update, it sounds amazeballs. Re: Moog Mother 32 Firmware Update

There are some seriously cool new features added as part of this update. Am particularly excited to try the different directions for sequencer (they added reverse, pendulum and random) and CV control over selecting and play steps. And they got rid of the sequencer automatically starting when it gets...

Re: Polar Noise patch cables

Any kinks will fall out if you hang then. I've had some cables (Control BT) that stayed somewhat kinked even after months of hanging, even after doi g the hot water thing twice. Me too! I got really annoyed with all my cables that kinked and ended up getting rid of them But these do not have any ki...

The MA skinny’s are good too, though I prefer the more robust feel of the PNs. I do prefer the MA colors though.

Re: Getting power into a Mother 32 case (a hack)

I was referring to the 5A power supply they use to make thats now discontinued. But don’t worry - take a look at their mini-case power supply. I think that would fit. If you look at the instructions here: https://www.synthrotek.com/kit-assembly-instructions/modular-circuit-assembly-instructions/case...

Agree with Pam’s into Marbles.

But 24ppqn or 48ppqn for clocking Pam’s with a run signal is super stable.

Re: Genki Instruments Wave

I have it and really like it, though admittedly have only had for a week. I have had a lot of fun in my time using theremins to control the modular. This is similar but with more voltage sources. Am using it through a Sinfonion with the auto gate feature to make melodies/ leads. As @Lylebot says, it...

Paratek make a bunch of counter type modules. Just search ModularGrid for counter and they come up. Here is an example.

Re: how do you manage your musical timeline using modular

I’ve been playing around with approaches to this for sometime and seem to be settling on 2 approaches. The first approach I learned from DCramer - basically record everything on as many tracks as you can and then use automation in the DAW to bring thing in and out. This has the advantage of being ve...

Re: Does this functionality exist in a switch module?

Matrixarchate can do this on steriods. It’s an 8->16 or 16->8 matrix switch that has 64 settings that are then sequencable. Works great for bringing things in and out of a patch by routing the triggers/ gates, turning them on/ off, etc. Not so good for audio. I am using for managing the timeline of ...

They just announced a multiFX which looks interesting. It looks stereo - but in reading the manual it seems it sums to mono first for the delay which is a bit disappointing. Would have loved a stereo delay in 1U

Nw2s:io issue

Am wondering if anyone knows how to get in contact with nw2s. I have tried their website but getting no response. Reason is I have an Nw2s:io that suddenly started playing up. Basically the out 5 is always lit and all others flash periodically (every second or less) - this is with nothing plugged in...

Bit late to the v2.0 firmware party, but just wanted to say thanks for the new features. Am very excited about preset sequencing, random zones, and gate delay. These are very welcome additions. For those interested, I came to the A8 from ER301 and Bitbox. ER301 was ultimately too much for me (ie too...
