Re: Your Favorite Acquisitions in 2020
So I have three: First, the Erica Syntrx. I love how embodied it is. (I realize that that sounds a little silly, but it seems to fit my experience better than words like "tactile.") I have found myself tapping on the front panel to activate the spring reverb and then playing with feedback -- or just...

I just like blue. Oh and I foresee that some sucker will come along doing a YouTube cover of that stupid 90’s eurodance blue song with the blue 2600 clone. Blue is enough all on its own :tu: Extra bits, more whiz and/or bang is nice too. I’m on an unspecified list for a Blue Marvin. In fact it coul...

Vehicle : Bright yellow VW T4 2.5 TDI van converted to a camper Dope. Post pics. I love vw buses. She is a 2001 VW T4, 5 cylinder 2.5 turbo diesel, with the engine remapped for a bit more oomph. Even so, on a long run, fuel consumption is around 42 mpg. Originally this was an AA recovery van, which...

If you are going to go this route, I would also consider the A-118-2 and/or the A-184-1 to add noise and S&H duties (which of course you might have covered already in your other gear).

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
Is it actually kids who are getting into music making and can't afford anything else, who are buying the Behringer clones/approximations? I mostly see older people excited to be finally able to get synths that were new and exiting when they were starting, but I mostly read forums and kids are proba...

Moog Werkstatt was recently re-released. Only one LFO, but i think the VCO can get pretty slow, plus an EG, a filter, a VCA, and a one-octave keyboard.

Presumably the rich live longer. I’m not sure that holds true for rich rock stars. mick jagger and keith richards are both older than synthesizers and have probably consumed more hard drugs and booze than anyone i know. Sure, but maybe not as much as Elvis and Jim Morrison (but maybe exactly enough...
