Source for J201 FET

Doesanyone have a good source for J201 Fets? You can still get the the surface mount version which isn't too hard to adapt to a through hole footprint. I'd love some drop in versions though. These guys claim to have real ones in the US: https://www.ebay.com/itm/J201-10-pcs-JFET-N-Channel-50-mA-40V-T...

Re: Cleaning jacks

This is pretty interesting. As long as it doesn't damage the jack.

Re: Cleaning jacks

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I agree about D5. I try never to use it but on jack contacts I'll make an exception. What I don't like about it is that when you use it, small amounts are bound to fly off and land on components. Its crap and I'd rather protect other components. I try to careful shie...

Cleaning jacks

I have a vintage modular with 1/4" jacks, specifically Switchcraft 112AX / 112BX. I have a feeling most of them need to be replaced but before I do that I wanted to know if anyone had advice on cleaning them. Spray cleaners usually just make a mess. Compressed air is as useful as praying that it wil...

their spec says the vactrols are less than 400ohms when on. for lowpass gates we usually want 10s of ohms or so. I wouldn't try these in LPG applications unless your expectations are pretty low.

Thanks very much. I hadn’t seen the one at synthcube.
I have to say that 700usd seems like a lot for that case.

Oberheim OB-XA Modulation board repair help

I have what seems to be a rare version of the Oberheim OB-XA Modulation board. The reference designators don't match up with any of the schematics out there.
For example, U14 is an LM324 on my board where its a CD4053 on the other schematics out there.

Anyone have info or schematics on this board?

Any chance of cloning the 721 dual delay? I was looking at the manual and reading through the various modules, the Frequency to Voltage feature on the 714 looks interesting. Is this something that's likely to be looked at? Great on paper, not so great in real life... Also there is a two-channel phas...

I have a 2 and was ready to buy the 4. No banana jacks on a Fenix seems a bit lame. There is definetly some good stuff in this build though.

I was really hoping it would be the keyboard version they showed a year ago.

Source for GIANT gig bags?

I'm looking for some gig bags for some of my big synths. OBXA, CHROMA, TRIDENT, etc.

I don't need a road case, just a bag to store them.

Any sources?

Where to buy cheap 4u boats?

Looking to get some boats for my 200r modules. I don't need power or distro (I like taking care of that). My current modules are sitting in some Hammond-esc boats that I cut down.

Anyone know of any cheap options for boats? I prefer the 17" by 3" ones.

Thanks for the suggestions but I want an entire bag not just a cover. The synths will go into a good climate controlled storage unit. I need a bit more than a dust cover.

Gig bags for BIG vintage synths

I’m looking for storage bags for some of my vintage synths. These bags aren’t for traveling, just for keeping dust if of the synths while around the home. My Oberheim OB-XA, Jupiter’s, Prophets, etc. most current bags don’t have the depth or height for vintage synths. Help! I’m looking for a source ...

Best place to buy keyboard bushings?

I’d like to get some feedback on the best place to buy keyboard bushings. I need to buy in a pretty large quantity (500+ pc). I need to change out the bushings on a bunch of old Oberheims, Moogs and Sequential keyboards. I have a feeling all of the various resellers get them from the same place but ...
