Re: Yamaha PSR6 sustain mod?
OK, no takers. Anyone have a service manual file for the PSR-6? I can't find any online and all of the sale listings for them are old and sold.

Yamaha PSR6 sustain mod?
I play keyboard on a podcast and this keyboard has been my favorite for it. It fits with the humorous tone of the podcast, I paid $15 for it, and it weighs like three pounds. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a sustain pedal input, so for some of the recordings I've had to lug my next lightest k...

Speaking of firmware, any updates in the works? Or maybe a manual for the current firmware?

Re: Where to find Fatar TP/9S 61?
I had such a hard time finding a replacement keybed for my Ion that I ended up finding a used 61 key board and cutting an octave off the top of the pcb (it works). I emailed fatar so many times, never got a response.

Re: Why does my synth create a ground loop?
Here you go, OP: https://www.tindie.com/products/ryanbatesrbg/ground-loop-isolator-pcb-x2/ There was a 60hz hum whenever I plugged my synth into my el-cheapo mixer, so I got the pcb from this guy, put it together and now there is no hum. It was certainly easier than taking anything apart. RIght. Bu...

Re: temps_utile / 6 x clock generator [build thread etc]
Is there any way to turn off the display instead of going to a screensaver? I am getting burn-in on my display from those boxes Not currently. I added display blanking in an o_C branch somewhere that can probably be ported over. The Hemispheres firmware is like that, it'd be nice to have the option...

Temps Utile - Any way to turn off screen instead of using the screensaver
I just realized that the display on my Temps Utile is getting burned in because of the screen saver; is there any way to turn the display off as opposed to having the screen saver pop up, like how it works in Hemipheres on O_c?

Re: DIY Mutable Unsuccessful Builds
Just built an ST Modular Pyxis (Plaits clone) and I'm having this bizarre issue: it doesn't make sound on its own, but if I put a CV (not a gate or trigger) into the Model input, in this case I used an lfo, it acts almost like a trigger and triggers the sound, although seemingly not at the speed of...

Re: Recommended high quality eurorack DIY brands
Had lots of success with PM Foundations so far. I've messaged the owner a few times and he's always been very helpful. What do you think of the quality of the front panels? I've never used the pcb material for front panels yet and am curious if they feel as sturdy as metal ones. Honestly don’t noti...

Here is why there are no summing cables, OP: https://www.prosoundweb.com/rane-note-why-not-wye-or-y-for-that-matter/ tl;dr: "A wye connector used to split a signal into two lines is being used properly; a wye connector used to mix two signals into one is being abused and may even damage the equipmen...

Maybe if the diodes are facing the wrong way, but then you'd probably run into issues with things smoking.

Re: MI Ripples - no cutoff freq control
On Ripples, IC5 (TL074) takes care of the cutoff frequency and CV controls. Check its orientation, as well as the orientation of the two diodes in that circuit (D5 and D6). If everything else works, the problem has something to do with that chip.

Question about dummy loads: I have the 85b and that whistles like you wouldn't believe. I want to put a dummy load on the 5v, but it goes up to 8A, does that mean I need a 40W or higher resistor? Those things are immense. And really, just from 5v to the resistor to ground?

ST Modular Cyllene v/o calibration issue
I was having issues with v/o calibration with two matched pairs of transistors and a tempco, so I switched to the THAT340p chip and a tempco, but it seems like I'm still having the same issues. I can get it to track somewhat well in the higher registers, but anything below @ C4 starts to go out of t...

Re: DIY Mutable Unsuccessful Builds
Hi, I'm having some trouble with a Rings build - I get some kind of crackly digital noise output, and none of the LEDs will turn on (don't seem to be getting any voltage output on the STM32 pins that are connected to the LEDs). I'm a bit stuck as to what to even check...all voltages are correct, no...

I don't think I've ever seen a Teensy soldered UNDER sockets before. Did you solder the extra pin? Er... socket? I think this is one of the ones I built recently that has an extra pin that needs to be connected from the Teensy, beyond the two rows of headers.

It was Peaks! I didn't realize there is a calibration procedure for Peaks, but then found a post from Emelie saying she left it out of the manual because people kept f'ing it up. Now the VCA is quiet as a mouse! Anyone looking for the Peaks calibration procedure: To enter calibration mode, power the...

Slew on O_c with stock firmware?
Do any of the stock firmware apps have a way to add slew/glide/portamento to a CV? I know there's a way via Hemispheres, but every time I switch over to Hemispheres I end up missing the stock apps and switch back.
