Re: Noise Engineering Sinc Iter

are there any modules that have a Perlin noise (& tunable) feature, as the Sinc Iter does? Sonic Potions Malaclypse, which sadly still hasn't seen the light of day, has it. I imagine Mal-2 is built on the same noise engine, but the rate doesn't go enormously high so it's mostly for modulation duties.

Re: nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

Sorry I miswrote in my last post, it slows down with a jack in the rate input. Here are some oscilloscope shots of the W(yellow) X(blue) and Y(purple) outputs from my scope: That's funny, mine's the opposite. Slow with no cable, fast with dummy cable, slow with gate on. I prefer that personally as ...

Re: nonlinearcircuits NLC 2020 modules

You want a PLL? Here's a PLL that outputs chaotic noise. You want a delay? Here are three delays that output chaotic noise. You want a filter? This is a filter that also mostly makes chaotic noise. To be fair, most NLC modules can be tamed if that's what you're into. Plenty of sweet spots. I've jus...

Re: Bastl 1983 tuning midi module

I use it as a quad quantizer without MIDI input a lot. It's easy and all detailed in the manual, but just head to the "q" mode. You can choose your scale by pressing LEARN and then turning notes on/off. To quote the manual: "LEARN MODE: The Quantizer scales can be edited in the Learn Mode, and diff...

Re: Non linear circuit low down

I'm kind of on that journey too. Bought a couple from Andrew that I really liked, now I've built 10 modules and have another 10 PCBs in the mail. It's great using modules that aren't in everybody's rack. When I haven't seen them patched, I tend to do more exploratory patching which has been really l...

Re: NLC Chaos recommendation

I recently built a Hyperchaos Deluxe and I adore it, especially since you can change the rate using gates. It can be built at different speeds (like most of Andrew's chaos circuits) and I think an even slower one could be pretty amazing because the fast (cable in Rate jack) is still pretty damn fast...

Re-arranged one of my cases to be more self-contained for when I'm too lazy to plug everything else in. I always end up with manufacturer clusters... Very fun to patch so far!

Re: AGOGÔ - Cascade Vactrol LPGs

Took delivery of Agogô yesterday and it's a JOY. I believe in dense VCAs/LPGs because suddenly you use them more, and that's definitely the case here. Here's a video that's basically 8 oscillators into Agogô and then to a mixer. I'm opening the LPGs with chaotic/random signals processed by a Nonline...

Re: WMD Time Warp

Cool stuff! I haven't checked out the entire video yet so sorry if it's covered, but could you use it as a full wave rectifier when the slew controls are way down? The module seems awesome regardless, but I often need more full wave rectification so any module that can double as that is a bonus in m...

https://i.imgur.com/DdbpoWL.jpg Here's my main set-up. Recently removed most things drum related to get more HP for droning. Pretty happy there's now a lot of interesting third party Intellijel 1U tiles. The Sloths are great. Next up is probably moving some digital oscillators to my KB37 to make ro...

Pretty hyped about Virt Iter. Stephen sure knows his oscillator algorithms, so this could be a real workhorse.

https://cdn.modulargrid.net/img/racks/modulargrid_1086707.jpg This is my "leftovers" case right now. Stuff that doesn't fit in my main case. Surprisingly fun. I tend to build a new leftovers case almost weekly because I use it, remember why I like some modules and exchange them for others. :despair:

For space saving and only feeding white noise (i.e. random values), you can't go wrong with Transient Modules 4R or u4R: http://transientmodules.com/

I run the u4R in my Intellijel cases. Most excellent module.

Hasn't been much chatting about it, so made a video of Marbles as a shift register. Instructions are in the manual for this, but it's not mentioned in most YouTube tutorials so it's easily missed. :)

However, without built-in attenuverters how does that even work? Does it always modulate all parameters with...
