Re: R-56 reverb module
What are your favorite patches and tricks with your R-56? I like patching the Wet output into the Audio input to use it as an oscillator. You can also use it as a Preamp. As far as modulating the R-56, the Drive CV input can be used as a secondary audio input (attenuation is crucial here). I also e...

Re: If you were starting over; what would you do differently?
What do you find better in Serge? For me, it's easier to work with. The format size is larger. You don't have to worry about using multiples to distribute signals since banana cables cover that. The cables themselves also grip the banana jack socket when plugged in. This makes for sturdier patching...

Processing a Metasonix TM-1 through an oscillating DSG. The second voice is a double-pinged VCFQ, with the TM-1 modulating the cutoff. Both are mixed through a Buchla Easel waveshaper, into a 292c LPG, and into a custom 4U R-56 Spring Reverb. The internal and external springs are both utilized; the ...

Re: Best sequential switch?
It's a toss between the Doepfer A-151 v2 and the CGS 28 Sequential Switch for me. I had an Erica Synths SEQS, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. The A-151 v2 is straightforward and easy to use, the CGS 28 adds complexity - and can also be used as a standard 8 step sequencer.

Re: If you were starting over; what would you do differently?
I was in senior in high school and couldn't afford much when I first began. If I had to do anything different, I'd examine all of my options for a PSU/case/modules much slower before making a final decision. And if I were aware of its existence and able to justify the price, I would've started and s...

Re: R-56 reverb module
Back to being the "guinea pig" for 4U Metasonix modules!
The 4U R-56 isn't planned to be built for regular production. The PCB was revised twice in order to fit the constraints of the R*S 4x4 panel, and it was difficult to build. This is a one-off, and will only be built on request.

Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module
How did it bring your R55 to life? Are you patching them into each other in some way? Hey - fun question - Let me try to answer that: They're both receiving the same hz/volt converter, as I only have one, so it's a synced two voice piece now instead of a single R55. And a lot of this is likely beca...
