Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
Got her working last night. Ended up opting for a set of DG411 to deal with the NC switches. I need to redesign the board...left pulldown resistors off the first version mostly because I am an idiot so I have an extra stripboard shoved in to accommodate. Will post some more pictures of the switch bu...

QuNexus v/oct issues
Sorry if this has been covered...couldn't find it in the search. Do these things just not track accurately? I have fiddled around in the editor for hours and can not get mine to give me 1v/oct out. Lowest voltage I can get messing with the offset is 0.013v and then going up octaves the closest I can...

Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
Do you only get single-action normally open contact, one per note on those things? If so, you might look at Moog Taurus schematics. I think they impose a high-frequency signal on the CV output that is detected to provide trigger/gate for the pitch CV S&H. The HF signal is easily filtered out of the...

Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
The strip is about 2 inches long, give or take (couldn't get a proper measurement since it was snapped), 4 mm wide and about 1 mm thick. I tried a few really bad mends (one pictured) and the realized that I had some decently stiff plastic stock in the form of LP dividers filed into my record collect...

Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
First repair. There is a small plastic strip that throws each switch. One of these was snapped at the top, preventing the switch contacts from shorting. Normal operation is illustrated in the pictures(C= closed, O= open). The plastic strip is situated between the pedal assembly and the switch contac...

Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
This is the unit I snagged. Luckily most of the mechanical bits were working as they should.

Re: Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
Cool. I had a BV organ with a complete set of pedals, bench and Leslie251. Organ is gone but those pedals were dangerous. The metal contact strips were sharp. Gotta watch out. Also very heavy and bulky. Be careful. I've already gone through and cleaned and repaired some of the mechanicals. Definite...

Hammond organ foot pedal controller conversion
Stumbled upon a set of bass pedals from an old hammond in the junk pile. I've had my eye out for a long while for a set to make into a v/oct controller. I searched around for a bit and couldn't find a whole lot by way of other folks doing the conversion so I figured I'd post a build doc as I work on...

User addressed sequencer/switch?
Trying to brainstorm on a "sequencer" with steps that can be gate addressed a la serge tkb, elby 23, etc. Is there an ic out there that can be used for arbitrary switching? I feel like I'm forgetting something obvious.

Electrosmith 3340 vco sanity check
I built two of these guys under a panel and they are both exhibiting the following weirdness. They both used to check out on the scope. I was patching a few nights ago and noticed that my linear fm behavior was off, like kind of stepped voltages with a triangle in with maybe 3 steps per slope. Threw...

Who is the QuNexus preset wizard? Trying to make a preset that assigns pressure to cv2 and tilt to cv3 but i dont want tilt to bend pitch. I know i'm just missing something really obvious in the editor, but i havent had any luck fiddling with it. I'm not using the expander. Other than that, anyone h...

Front Panel Express template graphics
I know the answer to this is going to be painfully obvious but I've done a fair amount of searching the forum and elsewhere and am coming up with not much. Where are you all sourcing the drilling/printing icons for your diy panels? I feel like there must be a zip file out there with a library of com...

Ha! Trust me this thing is super fun for boopin/boppin. The functional definition of "raising the floor" is exemplified with vca modulation. With no gate source patched and full CW on AD modulation pot, it's quiet as a mouse until I introduce a gate via the manual gate button. When I patch a gate so...

Gates behaving badly (or, the trigger-loving Soundlab)
Been ironing out a weirdness in my MFOS Soundlab MKII for a while now and I feel like I'm out of ideas. Said weirdness is happening to the AD generators (testing has shown it to be apparent in both envelopes) and goes like this: -All automatic modes (set rate, and s&h rate) work fine in gate and tri...

PCB mount connectors
Hey all, I'm doing a few custom power distribution stripboards for some DIY cases for use in conjunction with some MFOS power supplies. +/- in and ground strips routed to 10-pin, and 16-pin euro and MOTM headers. Sourcing the power headers is no problem but now I'm on the hunt for some pcb-mount scr...

did a quick layout to experiment with the circuit. i mean QUICK so there might be an error. had to space out the components so the text wouldntbe obscured too badly. should crunch down to about 17x8 when i populate the board. i'll verify that it works in case anyone out there wants to experiment wit...

CGS04 wiring options
Doing a pair of these for a controller I'm building and just wanted to run this past the forum before I start wiring. Obviously a straightforward design, but wanted to ask anyone with experience what they have found to be useful wiring options for these circuits. These will mainly be for transposing...
