Re: baby's first build
I think there are a few kludgy part modifications if I remember correctly (apologies if not) There is a fix for distortion over time by putting a 100k resistor between two points of the pcb, depending on the version of the build (for anyone considering building one) https://github.com/TomWhitwell/R...

Re: baby's first build
I make the AI006 and AI001 multiple. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks, Abe The AI001 and AI002 Mixer (3 channel mixer) were my first two builds and they were super easy with great instructions. I wouldn't hesitate to get/recommend anything Abe/AI makes based on those two. I ...

Re: Next project?
I built a Music Thing Modular Chord Organ fairly recently, it was pretty straight forward. The Radio Music is essentially the same build but with a different firmware, I think. There are other alternate firmwares for that platform as well, so if neither of those uses suite you, there might be a firm...

Re: How would you fill this 4hp spot?
I'd get rid of the two 2hp unbuffered mults and put in an 8hp ornament & crime (uO_c)
edit: I didn't realize you had 1hp free on each row, so just get rid of one of the mults.

Re: Amen Break Chopping/Mangling in Eurorack?
Not sure if this counts as mangling as no element of the source material is directly in the end result, here's a loop I made last year. I put the Amen break in the morphagene, used it's envelope follower, took the audio out from the morphagene and ran it into ears to use it's env follower and gate d...

Re: Keystep pro coming
That being said, I wonder if a BSP can slave to this over a midi channel. why wouldn't it be able to? BSP can be a midi slave right now; it doesn't know or care who the master is, midi is midi I mean more than just clock, start and stop. I mean if you could somehow control the bsp from the ksp, suc...

Re: Keystep pro coming
It would have been wicked if it could act as a USB host and power/sync with a beatstep pro. That being said, I wonder if a BSP can slave to this over a midi channel.

Interested to see what comes up here as I have an E-MU PX-7 that I've been thinking about using as a sequencer with a mutant brain.

How are you going to feed Morphagene, just using pre-made SD cards? If not you'll need a preamp/input amplification to get audio into it. This is incorrect. Morphagene can handle line level input. From page 11 of the manual: The Signal Inputs (1+2) accommodate modular synthesizer signals, as well a...

Totally my 2cents, but I think maths *might* not be worth it yet in this rack... I think it's a "second row" module here. 0-Coast and BIA already have envelopes built in, PNW will give you clocked envelopes, right? so envelopes aren't needed from maths. You also have a mixer, so that's not needed fr...

I'm not a eurorack veteran, so take this with a grain of salt. Plaits and Rings can cover some similar territory, you might not need both. If plucky sounds is what you want out of rings, a 2hp pluck would fit the bill for much less space. Rosie isn't really needed, nor are output modules in general....

I just went through 6 months thinking there was something wrong with one of my modules or power supply. I was always using headphones right into the modular, attenuated. My BIA was making a buzzing while the envelope was open, my Chord Organ had audible hiss constantly. My DIY Noise Reap 2xVCA had a...
