Re: "Antivocoder": does it exist ? ( a spectral "ducking" device ;) )

- modulating VCAs (inverse CV for ducking) ? yes, this. the modulator would NOT open the VCA, but close it. Guess thats the starting point of what i´d like to have. I allways must think to unfiltered audio´s "SpecOps" and think there could be way more in the play than just what a vocoder is, plus j...

Re: "Antivocoder": does it exist ? ( a spectral "ducking" device ;) )

It sounds like you need a multiband compressor. Some VSTs allow sidechaining to a specific band. i´m aware of multiband compression ;) no, what i have in mind is entirely different ! and "Compression" would not be the right term either ;) when i use a vocoder is it mostly to trigger the carrier wit...

"Antivocoder": does it exist ? ( a spectral "ducking" device ;) )

"Antivocoder"..........the contrary of a Vocoder.

i would like to "duck" ( sidechain-ducking) Signals frequency based, like a vocoder is working in the opposite direction.

Is such VST/AU existing ?

( realtime based of course)

yup, agreed. totally missed on the market !

disagree with people who think a 3.5mm jack patchbay could not be made to last as long as a 1/4 one.

? Sampler with: Pitch- AND Time-stretch ? is there any VST/AU ?

I´m looking for a sampler that would allow me to "replace" the sample engine part of an octatrack ITB. It has to have the common pitching on board but also, and thats the point here: realtime time-stretching ! i just need this two things: Pitch AND Timestretch, in realtime ! controllable by midi co...

Re: The modules you have in double, triple, quadruple ...

sorry, its OT sidetracking here: (vs the 3xMIA) Haha! That’s so cool. How did it change the way that you are patching? in short: wherever i use a manual CV source, can i just patch a modulation in too, or the other way around, if i patch a modulation over a 3xMIA have i at the same time on the same ...

2 x Happy Nerding 3xMIA, simple, cheap and cheerful mixers are always useful. . i once had a thread open, asking for a replacement for the IJ Triatt. Now, i followed your pointer to the 3xMIA, and i have right now: 9x 3xMIA :hihi: / thats the highest count of a module i ever had ! it has changed ho...

Re: Stereo VCAs

i only use the IJ uVCA, and no other VCAs, with reasons.
the uVCA is also perfect for me if i want to go with a stereo signal over a (stereo) VCA.
a TipTop stackable is then my Friend here
( well, i use DIY-shortened stackables / the very short ones that you can´t buy anywhere, but DIY ;) )

Re: New MakeNoise module: Mimeophon

I am considering a Mimeophon, but would like to better understand other innovative delays. Which others should I be studying for comparison? there is no other like the mimi. other delays which are great for "creative" work are: chronoblobb, DLD, Prism, maybe also the erica black stereo delay, and t...

Re: SSF zero point oscilator

wavetables work perfect as a modulation source. LFO or audio rate. patch wavetables into the PWM, and experiment with going into the boarderline territory with your settings PW vs. PWM, so that the pulse gets so narrow that it cancels the sound out. there is a nice field of experimentation to have e...

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

But it would be helpful to remind the smaller Eurorack companies that this is a real problem, and that it wouldn't cost them all that much to go the extra mile and find optical encoders that won't flake out. lets keep in mind: they sell their stuff for boutique prices ( i mean todays eurorack in ge...

WMD Axis, if you know you´ll deal with stereo signals anyway. I have one directly beside the mimi. ( but not to dry/wet mix the mimi  ) Agreed, HN 2x Crossfade might be the best bang for the buck and overall the most flexible one. Its even on a small footprint ( 4hp). For stereo you just could ...

Re: Intellijel Rubicon 2 vs SSF Zero Point Oscillator

The Rubicon was (at that time, as far as I know) the only TZFM VCO with a continuously variable Symmetry control (the Zeroscillator had a switch that could be used to select two or three symmetry settings). When the Symmetry is near the centre, tracking is a real challenge. This was partly overcome...

I suggest adding a simple clock divider on the trigger input to save people from having to use a whole other overkill module for that 'global quantization' adjustment. a immediate thought for me too. probably even "wilder", with a kind of a "preset" structure, ie, ---> not layed out like a clockdiv...

Not that it’s much cheaper, but MSRP from Waldorf is said to be 1960€ , so hopefully that will be lower in some markets/areas. ok, yours is the: "not inclouding taxes" price ! makes sense for you, since you´re in the US. Thomann and MusicStore in Germany have it for 2199€. Thats the EU Price and in...
