Have you considered the Noise Engineering Imitor Versio?

Eurorack standard desperately needed!!!

I absolutely love Eurorack. It has enabled me to build a modular system way beyond my wildest expectations and helps me to realize years of pent up musical dreams. That said, the lack of signal output and control voltage input standards drives me crazy and has caused my rack to be populated with ass...

Unfortunately not, it's a hardware limitation.
Thanks for the response. Have you run across any viable workarounds?

Re: Intellijel Shifty

Following re: comparison to copier machine in ornaments & crime. I was curious what the range is for Shifty? Love the ASR in O_C but not the limited 3.3V range. Modulation signals often get truncated if not scaled and offset. Can anyone who has used both comment on this? I haven’t measured it mysel...

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon

What bothers me, however, is this inevitable glitch hunt we end up doing in moments like these. We're all gonna be looking for clicks now, even if those clicks are part of delay, a part of making sounds with these modules. If we're not careful, then every digital delay will have to implement some w...

Re: How many OSC/Voices is too many.

In my opinion, if you have adequate control and utility modules, then it’s not too much. Each of your digital VCOs complement each other well. You have a great sonic pallette for both single voice variety as well as multiple simultaneous voices.

Re: Synchrodyne and Synchrodyne Expand

Absolute cracker of a module! I could not agree more! The sound of the filter is unique, the PLLs (with direct access to the phase comparator) are wild and it’s chock full of features - two VCOs, integrated VCA, wavefolder, rectifiers and a compressor. Growls, screams, snorts, harmonicas, unusual f...

Re: Rene2 & Voltage Block Owners (Or Previous Owners)

For me, the real power in creating melodic and textural sequence interest comes in having multiple sequencers interacting with each other. Rene 2 offers this I'm not quite following here, bare with me... So, when you say Rene has "3 sequencers", what's the difference between that versus if I progra...

Another question. What do you gain with Imitor Versio above and beyond what the Clouds delay mode delivers?

Re: Rene2 & Voltage Block Owners (Or Previous Owners)

It’s not just about the number of CV channels. Rene 2 is actually 3 single CV sequencers and has gate processing capability. Each of the first sequencers has a variety of ‘snake’ patterns that you can change on the fly. These patterns act as an overlay on your 16 stored voltages. The third sequencer...

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon

An update to my Mimeophon situation: After putting the module in another case with a different strip, the clicks seem to have completely disappeared. I am still a bit confused, because in my original case (rackbrute 6u), I was under 70% of the total power consumption capacity with mimeophon racked ...

Re: Noise Engineering Pura Ruina

I have it. it’s a good time and it’s nice that it has multiple outs but it wasn’t really the flavor i was looking for. it is really well constructed and thought out but i’ll probably be selling it for objective reasons. it has a pretty wide range but i think i should just run my synth in to my HM-2...

Moog LPF comparison (904A, Mother-32, Minimoog, B-904A etc).

I’m trying to understand the differences between the various incarnations of the Moog low pass transistor ladder filter (904A vs. Mother-32 vs. Minimoog, Behringer 904A, etc). Most especially, is the Mother-32 filter based on the 904A, the Minimoog version, or soothing else? I have the Mother-32 as ...

Re: Behringer System 55

What are the Behringer System 55 module voltage ranges for: - VCO output (is it +/- 5 volts) - VCF input (will they accept +/- 5 volt output from my other Eurorack VCOs) - ADSR output (0-8V or something else) - ADSR switch trigger Any help is greatly appreciated. These are measured on factory calib...

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon

i really love it a lot. Right now, I could spend days noodling around in the higher zones with slow modulation and that delicious reverb. However, although significantly less clicker than my previous unit, the clicks and pops keep appearing constantly without any recognizable cause. So far, the pos...

Re: Questions on MI Clouds

I sort of feel for the OP on this thread. Clouds is lovely in many ways. But it is a naughty beast when it comes to understanding what the hell is going on, at times. Temporarily out of my case, because I just needed, for the moment, predictability :) But I'm sure it will find its place back into m...

Not anything alike in my opinion. Thanks for the response. What are the key differences? Why might I select one over the other?
