Re: Verbos Multi Delay Help

The main input at the bottom left is your primary input. The +1 oct input to the right takes the output of the final tap, shifts it by an octave and adds it back to the input. The reverb input takes the output of the final tap and adds it back to the input. Either of those can be replaced with anoth...

On a bit of a whim, I bought oblis' dvina and I got it today. It my first stringed instrument and I bought it because I've been doing a lot of with modal filter design in Kyma and going deep there but as someone who never had played an acoustic instrument, I wanted better understanding of some nuanc...

Have a look at Midihub.

Oh, wow, this is really nice. I had no idea this existed.

The OB Cyclone is solid if you can find one.

For a midi looper, there is the new Midilooper from Bastl.

Re: All Music Easel expander cards

Tokyo Tape Music Center now has a Voltage Controlled Filter Model 291 Card on their website but it’s listed as sold out. The second demo sounds promising. Anyone heard anything about it? I received the last 291 of the initial run and only played with it briefly. It is very well built and a nice add...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

No but "The 208C MIDI note range for the oscillators starts at MIDI note# 24." and you can trigger the pulsar with note 9-11, and trigger sequencer with note 0-2 on channels 1-5, so you could get your desired affect with clever sequencing on your monomachine.... I find the implementation more usefu...

If you happen to use TouchOSC, I made this template about 10 years ago:

I don’t have a Sixtrak anymore so not sure if it works with current versions of TouchOSC.

Re: Best Comb Effect

Comb filtering is a digital filter. It is the result of various time delay functions and mixers. Mixing is addition (summing) in a digital system. Delay is memory storage. If you have a analog comb filter, you call it a phaser. You always call it a phaser. You simply would not call it a comb filter...

I tend to do most my searching now via google search given how search currently works in phpBB. For example, in the google search box enter: site:muffwiggler.com search_terms So to find these, I entered: site:muffwiggler.com no input mixing and these came to the top https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum...

No sound example to post, but I posted a Ursa Major inspired reverb sound for download to the community library:

Reverb tuning is tricky and time consuming so if anyone wants to pick up that thread, go for it :)

Re: Analogue Studio Mixer - High Quality Sound, EQ and Build £500-£2000 ?

The fan noise on some live mixers is definitely a thing. This is mostly due to their operating environments requirements. Live mixers need to work in clubs that often run warmer than most studios or need to be in the sun or outside at festivals. My APB runs louder than I want but I've read that peop...

Re: Analogue Studio Mixer - High Quality Sound, EQ and Build £500-£2000 ?

There are really few great choices in that bracket anymore, especially with good eq or reasonable enough number of sends. This issue is that demand has changed for consoles so most are either cheap which is fine for live show or small home studios. One the higher quality end, you are looking at live...

I picked up a APB Dynasonics ProDesk 24-4 that mentioned a few pages back that was barely used. What a fantastic desk and more compact than I was expecting (about 30" x 24" or 75 cm by 60 cm). Nominally a 'live' board, it is really well laid out and many of the features just beg for active, hands-on...

@bphenix, a Friend of mine had Kyma, even he gave up on it. What he told me was not very inspiring. Not my cup of tea Fair. I've pretty much sold off nearly all my modular because I didn't find it nearly as inspiring as Kyma and at the same time I get frustrated with Max and Reaktor, so there is al...

Re: "Antivocoder": does it exist ? ( a spectral "ducking" device ;) )

You may try and get your hands on a KYMA, it may be able to get closer, otherwise the option is not realtime - make an audio file that is analyzed and the results spit out later. You could get as many "bands" as you want that way, all the way down to particular notes if you wanted to. Yeah, this se...
