Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

The lack of varispeed on DLD is the only thing that kept me from buying it. Someone mentioned that it could be done with some coding but I cant remember who said it. You can look it up in the original DLD thread. I'll have to look into this. I really enjoy the way delays can naturally turn into loo...

Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

In terms of like, emulating tape limiting/saturation, or just it's limiter in general. I get the impression it's more of a "vintage digital tone", and not so much a "Strymon emulating a tape in a really detailed way" kind of thing. Have you looked into the strymon magneto? It has this vibe and also...

Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

here a silly er301 video i did real quick for ya. ok, dont think its exactly what you had in mind but depending on what you where intending, could be useful. whats great is you can have various speeds simultaneously ! using one "feedback looper" then sharing the buffer into two sampler players, one...

Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

Reflex Liveloop will let you do clocked recording with varispeed. It's a very fun looper/delay. I have Lubadh as well, and while you can't exactly clock it, you can just send triggers at the beginning and end of a measure or whatever and have it looping in time with the rest of your composition. Al...

Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

How's the quality of the ER301's effects. In terms of like, emulating tape limiting/saturation, or just it's limiter in general. I get the impression it's more of a "vintage digital tone", and not so much a "Strymon emulating a tape in a really detailed way" kind of thing. I haven't really delved i...

Re: Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

I think you could set something like this up in the Er301. I’ll have to confirm later. You want to slow down or speed up the loop after recording it? Just confirming you can indeed do varispeed and live looping on an ER-301. In fact one of the samplers is called Varispeed Player and you can set it'...

Syncable Looper w/ Varispeed (4ms DLD?)

So I recently discovered the 4ms DLD and I love everything about it, except that it doesn't have an option to do varispeed (as far as I can see in the manual and videos). Is there another module that is similar to the DLD, but includes varispeed? Is varispeed something that could potentially be adde...

Re: Smallest Analog LFO (VCOs?)

Lol I edited just as you replied in case I was ignorant to something, but I don't think Im missing something besides a semantics error, LFO’s are typically defined as below 20hz.. Now analogue vs digital oscillators I can understand a difference because of drift & imperfection.. but hey a triangle ...

Re: Smallest Analog LFO (VCOs?)

wait, is the 2hp LFO analog?! For some reason I assumed it was digital. Why does that matter? It's an LFO.. Are you super concerned about power draw or something? Regardless, modulargrid is your friend, it's got all the info you'll need + searching the huge archive of information which is this foru...

I like the 2hp LFOs for certain purposes. Be aware that they are unipolar, so not good for vibrato but good for opening filters wider and such.

Smallest Analog LFO (VCOs?)

I'm curious what the smallest HP analog LFO's are.

I was thinking about trying to use something like the 2hp as an LFO, but if I have to go a little bigger I suppose that would be okay.

Just checked in with him. Looks like a fast clock signal and long decay time would be the best option for using it as a typical mixer.

Befaco Percall as regular mixer?

I'm curious about getting a Befaco Percall, but I'm curious if it will run as a regular mixer when the triggers are unplugged, or if it needs triggers to pass audio. I suppose I could just run a constant high voltage into the triggers, but I'm just curious about this functionality before grabbing on...

Disting Default Pan for Dual Playback?

Is there a way to set the default pan position for Dual Sample Playback (I8) to be centered so both samples come out of both outputs?

This is my default use case, so it'd be handy if I didn't have to make this change every power cycle.

But both envelopes are always the same values correct? It seems like there isn't a way to control their decays independently, right?

Re: Dual Audio Playback Sample Organization

Ahh. Yeah, I-8 might be better for me. Then I can just put all the samples in one folder and give them short names. A quick question I came across though. How is the envelop working here? it kind of sounds like it's only working on one of the two samples. Is it suppose to do only one or both, or...?...

Dual Audio Playback Sample Organization

My goal is to use the Disting to load digital drum machine one shots (DMX, Lynn Drum, etc) and I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize the samples and playlists. My first thought is to set up folders for useful pairs of drum types: Kick+Snare Open Hat+ Closed Hat Low Tom+High Tom Ride+Cras...

Re: Hi Hat Suggestions (6 oscillator type)

Based on this threads response so far, I think my best course is to get something like Plaits, which I was planning to get anyway, and use it for my hats while I look further into DIYing an 808 metals sound source that is both authentic to the original, but allows for global retuning (And maybe even...

Re: Hi Hat Suggestions (6 oscillator type)

It's interesting to see that the 6 oscillator analog source from the 808 is not as fully expanded on in the modular world as I might have expected. It makes sense given it's complexity compared to the kick or snare. I think it's more that this is just a very, very specific ask? Look at the options ...

Re: Hi Hat Suggestions (6 oscillator type)

I was initially an analog purist with modular gear, at least when it came to sound sources. The Iteritas permutation are what showed me the possibilities of digital sound generation in the eurorack world. Since started working with a Nebulae2. Digital can be it's own wonderful thing when you design...

Re: Hi Hat Suggestions (6 oscillator type)

The Audio Damage adm07 Mad Hatter seems close to what you want. It’s based on the TR-606 and has six square oscillators and a digital noise source. You can control the pitch of two of the oscillators, and it has a band pass filter. While it is discontinued, there are still some floating around. The...
