Re: What do I need to use a Vermona Perfourmer?

pairing the Vermona with a (simple) step sequencer is doing unjust to its capabilities

i'm sequencing it though MIDI using a ZAQ audio zaquencer, AKAI MPC 4000/Live/X, EMU command station and Faderfox SC4

playing it poly and then switching modes (1/2/3/4) gives you instant satisfaction/inspiration

Re: Eurorack standard desperately needed!!!

this problem arose when first populating my rack too my first modules were ones that adhered to -5 -> +5 signals so i went from there the first thing i do when a new module or a module that interests me pops up is look for the manual and see it's V specs (aren't you aggrevated when/if a lot of manuf...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

my experience is that complex signals tend to be harder to find the perfect loop (point), loop smoothing makes it even worse i have lots of mellotron samples, and these are originally not looped but are very hard to find/set a clickless loop if played polyphonicly (several / different samples) the (...

Re: Tasty Chips ECR-1 Convolution Reverb

you sure you have the latest FW ? Hold down Shift [ ñ] for 5 seconds to show the firmware version. If it doesn’t show it, then it’s firmware 1.0 (shipped on only the very first units before May 2020). Note that v1.0 outputs at line level instead of at 10VPP Doepfer level. V1.1 has a higher SNR. Re: New Stand-Alone MPC

some small remarks: you can select multiple notes with the lasso tool in the grid editor, you cannot select multiple non-consecutive notes in the grid (but you can select those in the list editor with shift) song mode is exactly like any linear arranger in any DAW - but i admit it can use a boost th...

Re: weird multi channel midi question

the vermona is a great option ; it has a wonderful tone

EMU command stations are 32 (MIDI) ch Multitimbral, 128-voice and can run an independent, programmable, syncable arp on each channel

+1 on a more real time representation of samples (currently playing name, start/end + playhead update in waveform view) +1 on more envelope options (especially curves) +1 on simple (even non-resonant) eq/filter per channel. But I guess my main asks for features would be: - Crossfading in Zones rath...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

if value for attack or release time is 0.0000 and you send in -5 to +5 V (as a modulator), the sound doesn't change it's ENV properties only when you change the (initial?) attack or release values a tiny bit, the change in ENV is (very/quite) noticeable attack mod gain or release mod gain is +1.00 p...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

ok thanks within a layer it would be nice to have a note FX applied to a MIDI ch, no? (or maybe the layer is already a single MIDI ch or could be a single MIDI ch ; like starting with an explode function to re-populate a MIDI song with different MIDI ch to different/according MIDI layers) but maybe ...

correct, the actual response of the glide ENV i'm brewing the whole week about how to execute this: how would one proceed to apply quantization on selected non-consecutive notes in a trax on a MIDI layer in a song (quantization can be substituted to whatever the Sequarellel is capable of changing, l...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

i've asked for a moving playhead long ago in this thread but maybe Mr Rossum looked over it

The added samples come in on software 2.0 - it wasn't there in the very first iterations of the firmware
this was to make sure every sound/sample/transient was recorded

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

pretty cool indeed i love every parameter (change) tied to (MIDI) clock so i think that's a reasonable implementation 0-64 for small/short glides is just fine i think, which leaves more than enough numbers (65-127) for going wild -one could choose on some synths between exponential (1/2/3/4/5) or li...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

great news what i don't find in the QS is how the sequarellel will react/translate incoming MIDI chords (this is an 'issue' with other MIDI->CV modules) and if this behavior can be set/configured if a 4 note chord is played, and CV output to jack 1+2+3+4 (with the lowest MIDI note output to jack 1) ...

Re: Sequencing controller and MIDI LFOs

i have both (zaq & SC4) and i haven't delved into the generative possibilities of the Faderfox (didn't know they were there) also, since the ZAQ will create 2 midi cc per track with a wealth of tuning possibilities i didn't have to (get into those of the SC4) since the setup/handling of both is a bi...

Re: We just launched the kickstarter for Timetosser!

there's a buffer right?
one MIDI cc should be able to go from start to repeat/2x/4x/8x/xxx to stop
one button should be able to start/stop/toggle between the diff. repeats

so you can control a loop from the buffer all the way from start to finish

Re: Behringer BCR32, BCR 2000 Replacement

i just hope they will alter the ZAQ FW a little : when a drum track, make that (selectable) per sequence/pattern (now in the ZAQ it is globally for all sequences/patterns) on a drum track, you can set the note velocity/mute/delay etc per step, but this affects all other 'pitches' (drums) for that st...
