Re: Qu-Bit Data Bender

I would also like to hear a demo. I was concerned it would sound like all that glitchy Transformers music from the previous decade. Now that I have heard a little, it sounds very musical, looks fun, and has a lot of potential. That freeze input would be cool with a live audio and a gate extractor li...

Planar2 makes it possible to record a custom modulation and in scrub mode have it playback via an external audio rate signal (to CV1 in) in various ways (forward/reverse us a triangle wave, forward in cycle is a ramp wave so on) to be sounded as a custom, overwritable waveform (wavetable? - if re-r...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

Also, happy to report the Amp and Tone 2020 is awesome and mine is dead silent. The trick is to not turn up the amplitude control past 7-8 o’clock and use the input gain to your heart’s content for saturation and the best overdrive. I don’t see the amplitude raising the volume level on my ad/da conv...

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

The Dixie ii+ is good because the octave switch is helpful for tzfm work. Try the Dixie an octave lower and see how much better it sounds than at the same octave as the Rubicon. The reason I mentioned Mangrove is that it has a couple functions that make it useful as a modulation source. One, the tr...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. There isn’t a manual for the module. Now I can use post dipole filter. If anyone is concerned about noise, mine is dead quiet. I saw a few posts about it. All in all, a great module and glad I picked one up.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

I just installed a Scan and Pan and after a couple hours I understanding how leveling, panning, and scanning works with it. However, I cannot get the vcas to respond to cv. I was hoping that I would be able to send the four outs from the Stereo Dipole filter to each input and control the level with ...

Re: So how do you like your Verbos Scan&Pan?

Could someone please explain that what are the four red knobs supposed to do? I understand that the knobs are supposed to be turned fully left for scan&pan to function normally. Yesterday I fed four different oscillator waves through scan&pan to try to get a hang on the red knobs. I only got some a...

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

Bifold on STO would be great, would love to hear how it compares to a DPO Unfortunately, STO is exactly what came out of my rack to make space for bifold! But, if there are any specific DPO sounds you can link to, it would be a fun exercise for me to try getting versions of them from my intellijel ...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

Thanks for the detailed responses. It sounds like if you use an envelope on both filter and vca and don't turn the amplitude all the way up it's not that noticeable. I'm going to pick one up. I like the demos even if the original does sound thicker or whatever.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

I'm thinking to pick up the new ATC. I can tell that the old one is better sounding, but I still like the new one more than the MN LXD and Function combo I have now. Can anyone with the new ATC talk a bit about noise floor? I hear some people have issues. I have an Intellijel 7u case. Thanks!

PC finally shipping.
I also have a Dannysound Timbre on the way.
Excited to see how the buchla style folders compare directly.
Will try to do a comparison video.
Did you grab a diy Dannysound or assembled? The demos of it sound great.

The Instruo Athru is awesome. The strike input has an adjustable decay envelope located on the back of the module. Again, the Bifold more than exceed my expectations.

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

I was also concerned about warmth and whether or not I would get along with the Bifold. I was using the uFold II and needed to attenuate the sine or triangle going in to get a 'warm' or pleasant sound. I'm happy to report that the Bifold doesn't need any signal attenuation. I'm blown away by the sou...

Thanks Mvdirty! Great explanation of midside processing. I like the idea of processing the the mid and sides with different modules. Sounds like everyone who has a soundstage enjoys it. Re: Dual xfade - 4 HP dual crossfader

I’m thinking to use the 5x amplification to boost my Serge Ring(low level output). Does anyone know if the 5x will be overkill? Also, I can’t tell, is there a volume for each a and b input?

Re: New intellijel wavefolder/crossfader: bifold

Just stopping by to say that I ordered(not a preorder) the Bifold from a place in Vancouver called Nightlife Electronics. I paid a little extra for shipping, but the exchange rate was good and I should have it by the end of the week. Also, they have the 1u lpgs. I’m sure they have plenty of both. Gl...

Stereo Processing

Hi, I am looking for some recommendations on stereo processing in modular. At the moment, I have 26hp to fill and wondering what will bring something to my setup that I don’t have. Currently in stereo, I have Morphagene, Qpas, X-Pan, Dipole, Arbhar, Mimeophon, Optomix, Natural Gate, Planar 2, Befaco...

I'm also having a hard time with tuning. I'm noticing some drift and only 3 octaves of precise tuning. I went through the calibration process and still no luck. Any ideas? Can someone from 4ms chime in about a firmware update? I was hoping a digital module would give me perfect tracking over 5-6 oct...

Re: WMD 4tten - 4 channel attenuator and offset

I like the idea of sliders, but not a ton of range being this small compared to a knob. Anyone give it a go and see how easy it is to dial in something exact? Jacks on the top is a win for me given my case situation.

Thanks!
