Re: BIA analog alternatives?

For more precise percussive sounds with Basimilus don´t rely in its included envelope. Grab a quick external one and use it modulating the pitch in Skin Mode. Both Skin and Liquid are basically the same except for that envelope to the pitch. If you really want to get surgical use a Zadar. You will ...

Re: BIA analog alternatives?

Thanks everyone- I appreciate the suggestions! I’m sure I’ll end up finding something great from this list and eager to find more sweet spots with the modules I have. I’d also love to hear of some percussive patches you all have made using building blocks instead of a dedicated drum voice. Definite...

Re: Erica Fusion System II — Pads/Soft

If you’re not happy with the BBD detune, the PWM sounds great. There are also two Fusion VCO2’s in the system which you can slightly detune from each other, and the Delay/Flanger/Vintage Ensemble is huge sounding and allows you to use your own LFO or envelope to modulate the decay time. Honestly, I ...

Re: BIA analog alternatives?

Hey wigglers- new here. I’ve recently picked up the BIA from noise engineering as well as a telharmonic for the purpose of creating my own percussive samples. I’m digging both of them and can see plenty of possibilities with these 2 but was wondering if any of you know of a fully analog eurorack vo...

Re: Erica Fusion System II — Pads/Soft

Are you just looking to create soft, non tube overdriven stuff? Or is this more a question of versatility? If the former, I’d look elsewhere, if the latter then sure, it can do that if needed, just don’t drive the inputs and outputs of the tube modules very hard. If you’re not looking to use the tub...

Yes, the dipole output is the combination of the poles on that side.
Thank you! missed this
Sure! Also note that the middle Dipole AB output would combine all 4 poles in the same way.

Re: Noise Engineering Imitor Versio

Not anything alike in my opinion. Thanks for the response. What are the key differences? Why might I select one over the other? I’m not an expert in delays, so what is the advantage of having 12 taps (Imitor Versio) versus multiple time zones (Mimeophon) - for example? Any help is greatly appreciat...

Just wanted to give a heads up and inform you that the good people at MN reacted very supportively to my clicking issue. Re: Delay devices. Where are we on that?

It's not a Eurorack module, it's an outboard "pedal", so please treat this as an aside to the discussion, but the Erica Synths Zen Delay is something I've long considered getting. Ricky Tinez makes it sound absolutely incredible in this video. I wish they would make a Eurorack version of this one! ...

Glad the Mimeophone thread got locked so we can have spillover posts in unrelated threads 🙄
not sure i see the problem in discussing the mimeophone in a thread about delay modules
I'll echo that sentiment.
I guess we can just “repeat” the same discussion as the other thread here.

Re: Delay devices. Where are we on that?

I mean discussion is fine, but it seems some people can no longer grind their axe on the Mimeophone thread and are now going to turn an actual good “discussion” of delay modules into the Mimeophone complaint thread part 2. If that’s the discussion you’re looking for then go off I guess.

Re: Steady State Fate Vortices - Mono + Stereo Mixer w/ Tape Sim

Running a kick and a synth line into the Vortices mono mixer section with some panning automation on the synth. I take the mono mixer out, mult it, and then send one copy of the stereo signal to a stereo reverb fully wet, through a variable band isolator and back into a channel on the stereo mixer w...

Re: Steady State Fate Vortices - Mono + Stereo Mixer w/ Tape Sim

It’s analog. It’s not using anything digital to simulate anything, just analog circuitry designed and specced to emulate those things.

Anyone that know how long the wait is for europe? not into techno kind of music but looking into it for IDM drums and sounds and think i hit the correct piece in this or am i wrong? I think it works great for IDM. Part of the reason it works so well is how responsive it is to external clock changes...

Katowice is radically different from a FFB. I think there's room for both in a system. I love the Katowice and use it in every patch. I still plan on getting a Fumana sometime next year when I have the funds.

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma

I love the Pulsar. You will not find a bigger proponent of the machine than myself. Vlad is (in my opinion) an absolute genius. I ordered it within 30 minutes of pre-orders going live and have SN 004 and have made hours worth of music with it over the past 12 months I've had it in my possession. One...
