Re: Post pics of your euro setup! - RESIZE YOUR PHOTOS PLEASE

This is a thing of beauty. Thanks! damn that's a lot of space ! super nice. Must be impossible to move without a crane though, mine is only 12u and quite heavy already. Thanks! Yes, the thing is a tank. Definitely too huge and unwieldy to take on gigs (without a crew haha). It's basically not movin...

Re: Post pics of your euro setup! - RESIZE YOUR PHOTOS PLEASE

Current case - MDLR 20U custom. Waiting on a couple of things to fill the last gaps - particularly, the CV16 expander, which should show up soon, the E520 whenever my pre-paid unit shows up and a Kermit MKIII which I haven't picked up yet. That leaves the 1U row in the top half and then it's on to t...

I got 2x BLMKIII
- HDMKIII
- PHMKIII
and they are all at the same intensity.
Hhhm OK thanks for letting me know. I guess it's not a "real" issue since the module works fine, but it's odd nonetheless. Cheers!

Re: HERTZ DONUT MARK III - shipping now!

I haven't read the entire thread so advanced apologies if this was covered; Anyone with two or more MK3 modules notice that the OLED on the HDMKIII is slightly less sharp (or should I say more dim?) than the PHMK3 and BLMK3? Just curious if 1) this is adjustable and 2) if it's just my unit or a univ...

Re: IF YOU WERE TO START YOUR JOURNEY AGAIN

I say checkout the Make Noise Tape and Microsound Music Machine. It's sounds like a great starter system for what you are saying here. Good point! I forgot that they recently made that available. Would definitely be a great option, especially based on their interest (and additionally if the SS cost...

Re: IF YOU WERE TO START YOUR JOURNEY AGAIN

Based on what you've written, I would advise you to simply go with the Shared System as a starting point, and plan to expand that once you gain some experience with it. As others have said, your plans will change (many, many, many times) as you move forward, so at this stage it's almost pointless to...

Re: Eskatonic power?

From what I've read, Erik partners with someone in Germany whom makes these boards. Unfortunately I don't know anything more than that, but I actually held off on buying a Needham case for this exact reason.. the power solution. It goes without saying that the woodworking is beyond stellar.. but in ...

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer Launching Soon on Kickstarter

My kind of module! Couple of questions; 1) Will this eventually make it to retail or is this a one-off, kickstarter-only kind of project? 2) Any chance for a non-glossy black faceplate? (or aluminum) Thanks for your time and great work on this! Can't back it but hoping it will retail at some point b...

EDIT: alright, this thread turned out to be cooler than I expected - especially now that it's not in the Eurorack forums. Kudos to the OP for actually dedicating some time to the critiques - not at all what I expected.

Re: Erica Synths Sample Drum vs. ALM Akemie's Taiko User Feedback Request

Fellow sound designer here - maybe I can help. You said it yourself: they are two entirely different modules. In fact, I'm not sure they are comparable other than maybe the fact they are percussion oriented. For sound design, as in if you want to actually sculpt your own sounds, the Taiko is the obv...

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Just jumping in to say that in my opinion, Odessa is one of the most interesting oscillators I've owned in a long time - and I've owned a lot. It's incredibly deep and diverse and I can't understand some of the earlier comments in this thread about it being limited or whatever - that just sounds to ...

I didn't say it was anything other than that...

Re: Noob question

I have gone totally into the rabbit hole of collecting modules from single makers. I've build Make Noise systems before there were even VCOs in their lineup. Mutable Systems. Intellijel Systems... My reasoning was always that I liked the aesthetic of a single brand because it made the system feel mo...

Re: What sparked your entry into eurorack?

I was heavily into circuit bending but always frustrated with the lack of control when I first discovered Eurorack around 2006-ish. Once I realized you could get the same insane noises out of a modular...but with essentially as much control as you want, I was hooked
