I have an Alesis Ion which is a VA, fully digital, 4-way multitimbral and has four outputs.
those outputs can crap out at anytime on those.

Re: Behringer clone of SH-101? MS-101

I personally couldn't be happier with my MS-1. To my ears there is definitely something different about it compared to the SH-101 I had years ago (probably the aforementioned snappiness of the envelopes) but overall it does a darn good job and for the price how can you complain? I got mine used for...

Re: Behringer clone of SH-101? MS-101

I really wish Behringer would do a module version with buttons to input steps instead of keys. I hate the keybed and it would be ace if it was smaller i really wished they would’ve just mimicked the originals sequencer verbatim. it was literally perfect just the way it was. a huge oversight and a m...

Re: Behringer clone of SH-101? MS-101

hey, i have a question about this if anyone has the time to answer... i'm thinking about using it live when it is clocked to an external source, can you program the sequencer on the fly, without stopping the external clock? so the unit is receiving midi clock from a drum machine, can i press "rec" ...

Re: Roland TR8S questions

ok, i got the tr8s today, but i did not sell the machinderum yet.. i wanted to wait and compare. i just compared the kicks.. i have to say that i use two tracks for the kick on the machinderum. and what shocked me is that the kick drums i can do with the machinderum are WAY way way better than the ...

Re: Roland TR8S questions

shouldn't there be some fantastic fm kicks? can't find them... maybe i have the wrong firmware? (although its brand new...) odds are your unit was packed by the manufacturer and delivered to the distributor prior to the firmware update. you will have to update this to access the new features ans FM...

Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE

A Jomox / Gotharman collaboration could be the best thing ever. id rather see jomox collaborate with elektron or cirklon. Either of those would be super cool, but Gotharman also makes killer sequencers. Plus the craziest digital effects I’ve ever seen. He also has the best customer support of all t...

Thanks
i reached out to jomox but never heard back. i sent mine back to the distributor for a full refund and haven’t looked back.

Re: Favorite Multitimbral VAs?

Interface-wise the Nords are really hard to beat for multitimbrality, the NL3 clearly being the best in the game. Another one is the Monomachine. 6 channels of VA, SID, FM with individual outputs. Only catch is each part is monophonic (unless you just want 1 tracK) and they're now prohibitively exp...

Re: Favorite Multitimbral VAs?

i'm not a synth wikipedia and included a few erroneous examples, but my description made it very clear what i was looking for: tweakable multitimbrality. VAs seem to be a lower price than others, and i had it in my head there must be other cheap secrets from a couple decades ago lurkring out there....

title says it all! what are you favorite unabashedly digital multitimbral virtual analogs? i've got an alesis ion that i love playing, and would like to double the fun. the catch here is i'm looking for more hands on control = more fun to tweak and do sound design, rather than having a row of multi...

Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE

Damn these quirks are so frustrating to read about. I'm in the midst of cancelling an order of one of these... I dislike me a quirky drum machine to say the least and have returned a couple as a result -- MFB Drum Machines have atrocious interfaces and noise issues and no stereo out on the lower en...

Both? Regretfully this sort of belated "disclosure" was omitted in your initial statement: " MFB Drum Machines have atrocious interfaces and noise issues and no stereo out on the lower end models. " Crapping on gear is fine but a "IMPO" or "IMHO" is common courtesy (and shall we say ? ....honesty)....

Im not sure every person that buys a ferrari does it to feed their ego. most people that buy ferraris do so because they can afford it and because they are absolutely sick AF in every possible way. we all cant buy ferraris just like we all cant buy OG 2600s, so most of us end up with hondas or behr...

I guess not everyone realizes MW *does* have a thread specifically for Behringer complaints. It's worked well to -mostly- contain the over-the-top and repetitive complaining.

The people that moan about behringer are either competing against behringer on a micro scale or pretentious people with too much money who love the attention they get from their expensive toys.
No other possibilities? I’m tempted as well but that’s an unsupported over-simplification.
