IME Hertz Donut MkIII was specifically designed with those PD synths in mind. Obviously it’s only a piece of the puzzle since it is eurorack, but it is one hell of a voice.

All the fun threads happen when I’m on my summer break from the studio and all things synths apparently. Bionic Lester mk1 & Metasonix RK6 are a nasty combo. Love em together. My favorites are probably in order: 1) Tyme Sefari mk1 w/ ASOT expander- Serious grit, hard to not go crazy with it 2) Hertz...

Working on something different..... Thank you for the kind words. Definitely one of my favorite sessions.

Looking forward to getting back in the studio. I usually take summers off since the studio gets insufferable. Best place in my home during the winters though!

Hey, nice track! And I would consider the BL use in the above video by robotopsy as musical too. Perhaps it's just the traditional LP use that does not work out so nicely because of the aliasing whine. As a HP it sounds nice - and the whining might have get into dog territory then anyway. I am curi...

Thank you for recording ans posting this! It seems that Bionic Lester is great for sounds/noise but not so much as the only filter in a small case for when you don't use it for harvest sounds. I think I will wait for the MKIII and then perhaps decide if I really need two of that flavour... You may ...

Any samples of this being used in less beat oriented environments? Drones, HNW, etc.... Here I was using it for the bass drone / riff. There is still some beat based elements involved, but not processed through the dark matter and secondary to the main theme of the piece. Just Oscillator into Dark ...

There's no reason that digital should be identical to analog, and I think that misses the point of digital. Yes, it can emulate analog to a great degree (but not completely, without a whole lot more processing power that the vast majority of people can afford), but that's not its real strength. Dig...

I don’t really care... Especially for utilities. I’m mostly in the digital vco, analog processing/ shaping world when it comes to my system with a few exceptions here and there on both sides. I buy based on functionality and character. My only potential gripe about digital in general is the tendency...

I'm a little annoyed at the prospect of having to buy a Pickit3 if I want to update. I bought a Pickit2 for the PH2 and could never get it to work. Ebay prices for 3 range from $10 to $80 and I have no way of knowing if I'm going to get a working unit this time. Any advice for a reputable place to ...

The lack of control over Op B and the lack of square/triangle/saw waves are the two things that make wonder else what I might miss with this new beas...

Guided Meditation for the Scornful

A contemptuous exploration of chakras with a variety of Harvestman, Metasonix, Endorphin.es, and WMD modules.

All sounds from, or processed through the Eurorack. Video courtesy of fortuitous weather patterns in front of my home.

I'm very interested in a demo, I've watched your videos couple of times and they are a joy to view. Do you got the Hertz Donut mkiii as well? Just wondering which one exels at "harsh" timbres. I've heard some spectacular demos of that VCO as well, and I really prefer the design to the digital compl...

Folktek modules have a very occult aesthetic. Their designs remind me of baphomet. I would never put them in my rack for this reason :hmm: Well that's certainly A take... :despair: It looks like fairly basic geometric shapes and a nod to the Fibonacci Sequence, but not particularly occult IMO.
