Re: ACL Sinfonion

Made use of the Song Sequencer quite a bit in this latest track, while using Vector to control changes (Presets) of the note sequencing being sent into the Sinfonion. Was fun to program slightly different chord voicings every 8 bars or so. Chord outputs were controlling the Emulator Choir samples (...

Re: A-111-4 Quad Precision VCO

Quick update on my side. So far the VCO has been behaving nicely - it sounds wonderful. But there is an ever-so-slight drift after warming up for a while, but no better or worse than my other analog VCOs. Also, the 4 VCOs were not all *quite* in unison at the knob's 0 with the default jumper setting...

Re: Trimmer Pot Knob size?

this is not a T18 spline so probably not something that exists. the question has been asked before. you can smash any wrong knob on there but you risk damage and you will never be able to remove the knob after. in my opinion these trimmer pots are perfect if you need something small. if you need so...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Well... 99% might welcome it, but 99% of Sinfonion owners probably wouldn’t buy it. Some fraction would. I probably wouldn’t (I just don’t use much MIDI). I think it makes a lot more sense to make a product that can stand alone and/or expand the Sinfonion. I was wondering whether the DROID could do...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

I think it's safe to say that 99% of folks with a Sinfonion will absolutely welcome a CV -> Midi expander, and if that expander is Teletype compatible all the better for a new market. Please :hail:

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Yes. I had similar problem with the VCMC. Almost working but not quite This is from Befaco support: 'This looks more like a bug on the +5 -5 mode. Change the midi output range . Now it should be -64 to 64. Try 0 to 120. Also, please try with a positive voltage source and setting to +5 or +10 mode' ...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Well, according to the manual Sinfonion outputs between -2v to +10v. So I've set CV Thing to 0 - 10v as that's the closest option, but now all the notes are wrong. Can anyone with VCMC confirm the settings to get this to work properly? I read earlier in the thread that the Befaco needs to be calibr...

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

I'm curious if any A8 owners are using it for voice duty (quantised)? For example, I'd like to use 3 or 4 channels for orchestral / acoustic type samples to pair with my Sinfonion (either to make chords or solo duty). Would the results be comparable to say the beautiful Disting EX multisample piano ...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Hey team, Just a question here: how would one get midi out from this? Would we use a CV->MIDI module? or could we do it within the Sinfonion? Thanks for the help with this! Dan CV->MIDI module is the only way at the moment. There were ideas of a Midi expander for Sinfonion, but nothing has been con...

Re: A-111-4 Quad Precision VCO

Hmm hard to choose between the linear FM option or PWM. What do you people prefer? Also hard sync vs soft sync? I think i prefer the default hard sync. I just got mine last week, so far so good. Haven't played with the jumpers yet, but why not half and half - two set for PWM and the other two for FM

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Was there a protective film/sticker over the screen when you received your new Sinfonion? Yes. Mine had some printing on that protective film which for a brief moment made me think something was wrong with the display. Mine peeled away with a bit of fingernail work at the edge. I would avoid using ...

Re: What's your most wanted "luxury" module?

It's always been the Sinfonion since hearing the prototype a few years back. Now that I finally have one, it has exceeded all expectations and more. I used to think luxury would be an ER301, although it's a super cool module I soon realised I'd spend more time tinkering endlessly and wouldn't make m...

What don't you understand? You're trying to tell me this is clear? "W/ takes a nowness and returns it in a futurenow." I just want to know what it does in English not in some pseudo mystery speak. Yes I can probably figure it out, but I like clarity not vague smugness. I'm sorry I just want a basic...

Yeah, I have no idea what was behind their disappearance and now reappearance. I agree that the community won't abide by controlling narratives by deleting posts, etc. I'd be a lot less skeptical of your theory of a reasonable explanation if they hadn't deleted that post. So almost immediately I we...

Wow, I didn't know about any of this. Do you think maybe they just couldn't meet the demands in making the cases and had to take a break? I hope they would have resolved a refund to those who had ordered? They don't need to respond to posts publically, but deleting such posts without any response ca...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

I've been using this module since September and have a feature suggestion for a future update: It would be amazing if Sinfonion had an onboard song part sequencer. Right now it gets tricky to program when your song form is not just ABAB or ABCD repeating (using part forward and part backward trigge...
