Re: Which Iteritas to beginn with?
I have CI and is a pretty amazing oscillator. People compare it to a wavetable oscillator (and I did buy mine to replace an Erica Synth Wavetable oscillator) but the morphing across sounds is soo good that it feels more like a crazy variable waveshape analog oscillator rather than a "choose some dis...

Re: Qu-bit Pulsar could be fun
Does anyone know how to feed Pulsar a reset signal? I'd think the Absorb or Burst input but I can't test it yet A trigger or gate into the Absorb CV input will do it. I found it really confusing to understand whether the module was clocked by an external clock vs the internal clock. It seems like y...

Re: Looking for a synth
Prologue is definitely on the list. I almost bought one before I bought the Polysix, and if I had known then that I would want something to haul around to gigs, I probably would have gone for it.
Paraphony is definitely not good enough.

Looking for a synth
I am a multi-musician, sometimes modular synth artist, sometimes bassist. I'm looking for a single keyboard synth that I can use in a band setting for chords + bass line when the need arises. I don't need a lot of fancy sound design capabilities (I have Eurorack for that) and I do need patch recall....

Re: Alternative to SSF Ultra Random
I was in this same quandry for a while, and there were a couple of things about the URA that I didn't like (for example I think one of the random outs is hard wired to the internal clock). I tried a lot of different combinations of modules build a smaller/cheaper Sapel, but in the end I couldn't bui...

Re: So, MI Stages or traditional ADSR? Thoughts?
I have a Stages and it's great, but you need to use a LOT of it to generate a single ADSR envelope. If you're going to use an ADSR in every patch, then I think you'd be better off with a dedicated ADSR module which will be smaller and presumably cheaper. I on the other hand, never use ADSR envelopes...

I have just ordered a Zadar so I find myself reading this with a fair bit of anticipation. I currently have Stages, Ornament and Crime and Maths in my rack. I bought O_C for everything else but recently tried the envelope generator. The results were awesome but the process infuriating. (which is how...

Thanks. I have mine on preorder through Matttech. Its been a long wait but some things are worth it. And many thanks for your pre-order! :sb: it may even arrive a bit earlier than I said, as the UPS tracking is currently estimating it to appear on Friday now. If they arrive early enough I w...

Wow. Thanks so much for all that. You have reminded me of options that I had considered and ignored. To confirm your suspicions, yes I want to record raw maybe with some EQ and then do minor mixdown/mastering later. I had looked at the Tascam Model 24 and dismissed it as too big for me, but the idea...

iPad based mixing/recording/production recommendations
My small studio is currently made up of - Rhodes - Polysix - Digitakt - 4-6 voice Eurorack I’m currently running it all into an EPM16 mixer, and use Eventide pedals as effects. I cant see myself getting much more gear on this front. Maybe 1 more voice. I have Ableton but I am not wedded to using it....

Not exactly. There is no output normalization. Splitting the spectrum to even and odd partials, or banks of partials (like: 1+2+3+6+7+10+11+... vs 1+4+5+8+9+...) depends on how the bank length is set. With bank length at 0, both outputs offer identical sum of all partials. Hence, you can get everyt...

Schneiders Laden's price is decent at 394,12 € pre-VAT. There are a couple of Canadian stores with them available for pre-order around $720 CAD pre-HST. (ie 498 € pre-VAT), which in my mind is a ludicrous difference. They have been available for pre-order for a long time now so I'm assuming those ar...

Help. I wonder if I've done something stupid to "reconfigure" my Microcell, or whether I haven't done some part of the procedure quite right, but I only seem to have 4 modes available. And, to be honest, they don't seem a whole lot different from each other (but I'm a super-Clouds-noob so that last ...
