Isn't it just AC-coupled Exponential FM? How does the capacitor convert the signal from exponential to linear?

Re: Why two sets of power pins on europower breadboard friend?

Because you have two lines on each side of the breadboard and three "power lines". Ground, plus and minus. It makes sense to keep plus and minus on opposite sides of the board to reduce risk of errors.

(The header part that seems to be unconnected is connected to the ground plane)

Re: voltage controlled slew / portamento circuit

ahh this was honestly the first schematic I looked at when I was first trying to figure this out! I have NO idea what is going on in this circuit, but I will try and study up on transistors because it would sure be nice to understand how that famous slew circuit works This link might be of help to ...

Yves has a good one - linked above. Befaco is using almost the same circuit for the min/max of the Rampage:

Re: 16 Pin Header Projects

On one of my more experimental DIY systems I use the CV bus for preset handeling data (the preset system is in each module, I only send data about preset number and interpolations between presets) and the GATE bus for midi data. So I basically use it like the buchla 200e databus.

Re: Miasma: Function Generator (DIY PCB based on Befaco Rampage)

It won't be a problem for most users. If you patch within a system you have lots of other paths for common ground reference. It will be a problem if you only patch the eoc to another system that has no other connection to the system you have your miasma in. And that is a highly unlikely scenario as ...

C64, C66, C75, C77 are the AC-coupling caps connected to the 4 outputs. The g1 does however have some DC-offset, and the levels aren't very high.... And the output is inverted... I added an inverting buffer board and made a separate set of DC-coupled outputs using some trimpots and a rail-to-rail op...

Are you using a lin(b) or log(a) pot? Sounds like you use a linear one and should get more satisfactory results with a logaritmic one.

As the frontpanel outputs are actually inserts I think you lose some of the most fun, direct option by doing so. I use mine with y-cables and fx-units all the time to have different FX on each sound and compression on the kick while still getting a mixed signal out. But I have the trigger ports conn...

None of the buttons on mine are doing what they should. It's basically gone haywire. Let's see if replacing the mux/dmux helps... If not, a friend is sending me the remains of a mostly stripped v1.0 board, which still has all the chips and power circuitry intact. Sounds like the same problem but yo...

I found out that the tt303 worked, but that the buttons had the wrong functions. I checked what buttons didn't work and traced their signals on the pcb. I assumed it would be a mux/demux/shiftreg or diodes that were faulty as most button-interfaces (or keyboards) are based on a diode-matrix. The dio...

It was on the button/led board. IIRC it was just one kind of IC on that board. I can't remember the exact part, but it was a fairly common SOIC. Edit: it may have been a multiplexer/demultiplexer ic. But still just a standard ic. It can be seen on the third picture here: https://www.instagram.com/p/...

I burnt a shift-registered on one of mine when plugging in another one via split power cable - while having power on. It was an easy fix for me as I just had some of the buttons dying on me, and could trace them in the button/led matrix to that shift-reg. That accent and slide buttons "work" makes i...
