Re: How much iPad does one need?

Good news/bad news. You almost certainly don’t need to max out the system memory. I’ve got an iPad Pro 9.7” with 128G of system memory. I have 95.51G free.
But I would advise one of the iPad Pro models rather than one of the others.

Re: Site Migration Completed

Okay, I know nothing about the software being used, but conceptually, all that’s needed is a Boolean flag for right yes/no. Then a global check when selecting and rendering the CSS. Can that be done?

LMMS users? (any OS)

Hey all. My trusty laptop finally gave up the ghost. For cost/benefit reasons, I’m back in PC and Linux lands. Anyone using LMMS and have any insights or tips? Experience reports? I’ve installed it on both Linux Mint 19 and Windows 10, but have only done the minimal “does it run” check. I’m using an...

Re: When did you realize you were a modular aficionado?

I got my hands on the Moog modular at MSU in Spring of 1969 and Fall of 1970. I was hooked within minutes, it all just made sense.

Don't forget the top section of the VCM is a vca and RING can be patched as a vca. Neither of those is D.C. Coupled though. I haven't used a freq shifter, but judging from YouTube it just kinda sounds like a nice ring mod. What am I missing? Well, there’s always this patch: Sound source to filter w...

I think one useful way to think about it is at least roughly in terms of ‘how much of your system is unused for any given project?’ If, over projects, that bounces around to hit all of your gear at some point, you’re still good. Stuff that rarely gets used, especially when it gets up to a voice or s...

Are there plans to release any of the other 1000 series modules?
Quad env gen and voice module would be nice to have, as would the dual osc.
But the current system is quite impressive, I appreciate your efforts.

Are you using the same cable for both connections?

Seeing this with only 1 oscillator doesn’t elimate Pelseas diagnosis, but tends to reduce its likelihood IMHO. Thus the cable suggestion.
Do let us know what you discover.

@RexCoil7 — Respect! Very nice setup. I had the previous keyboard from Synthesizers.com; they do good work. Their new line takes it up, well beyond just ‘up a level’. The Doepfer ‘theremin’ controller has some interesting possibilities.
But nothing ever gave me the satisfaction, to say nothing of playability, of the Haken Continuum.

I entered MSU in the Fall of 69. Dr. Niblock (Jim?) was head of the music department and interested in experimental and electronic music along with creating some primitive multi-media.
