Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

Hopefully the two populated pcb’s get into Jim’s hands before any drastic covid related shutdowns hit again (if they do, I hope not). These pcb’s will allow (require!) him to fire up the tapes and get some testing going which means fun decision making and audio (MOAR DEMOS!!!).

What is that? Another YouTube egotist? Ignoring the obvious irony of asking other people to google for you whether someone is an 'egotist' because I certainly recognize the impulse. I'm old enough to be this guy's dad, and YouTube egotists don't generally impress me much. But this guy has won me ov...

Re: Serge 4 panels only

I’d also advise getting maybe two and playing with them for a while, it would give you insight as to where you want to go. More sequencing, more audio processing, more core serge functionality etc etc...

Re: Serge 4 panels only

I picked 1347 because you get the real core serge circuitry that I’m so fond of. The flexibility and raw analog connection. The experimental nature of it, there’s always something to try out, very little is canned for you. That’s why I like working with serge. 1347 isn’t my dream system by any means...

Yeah, I’m sticking with 2021. Although knowing how much of a detail oriented guy Jim is, once the real analog pcbs arrive, I’m sure there will be changes.... and changes... which will end up getting us a better device. But urrrghhhg this waiting .. it will be better when pics/demos start showing up....

Re: SERGE DUSG Patching Techniques

need to invert that envelope using a voltage processor (“attenuverter”) and apply it to the cv in of the amp or filter you’re running the reseq output into. attenuating/ offsetting everything in the patch to get the action to your liking is vital. You can never have too many voltage processors!! Steve

Re: General Info - LOGAN SOLOMAN - ENIGMA and DAVID

“Jammie” has taken the wheel, Jim has given the projects over to him. The Jim/Schreiber matchup has been dissolved. Hoping we get the few missing pcbs (most are done!) to “complete” the project. Zero hope for the many many many module ideas thrown about at project inception. Hoping we get dxf files ...

Re: Junkie Purge

When shit is taking up too much space gathering dust and getting in the way, sell it. I think it gets easier to do after you do it a few times, because it usually does feel good to have less things cluttering that don’t get used, and then you see the cash in your account. Reverb has turned into 90% ...

WatchDogTimer
RealTimeClock

Not sure what the actual goal is but starting with an fpga to design a timer is way overkill.

Get an arduino.
