Re: Fitting 0-Coast and 0-CTRL into a case
I agree, that the case is a little bigger than what I need (0-Coast, 0-CTRL, battery and wires) but I can't find any useful tips in the Serge/Buchla/EMS subforum. Are you able to post a couple of links? https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=120389 Thanks! I am considering buying a ...

Thank you all! OP's original pic below. https://i.imgur.com/HNMk5jS.jpg Thank you chiasticon for reposting my image. I am just used to posting from imgur. Please upload local images. Using imgur links means they'll disappear, along with being a pita right now. I will do better next time. cool idea. ...

Fitting 0-Coast and 0-CTRL into a case
Yesterday I got my 0-Coast and 0 CTRL to work with a battery, and now I want to try to fit them both into a case. I bought a cheap case from Monoprice, and it is the right size to fit everything. Now I need to figure out how to securely fit both the 0-Coast, 0-CTRL and the battery. In the case, ther...

Re: Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
A quick update. After a lot of writing back and forth with MyVolts, Thomann and Make Noise, I now have a solution. Support at MyVolts told me that a Anker PowerCore 15600 mAh might be a solution - and it was! It works! Nor for my next step, to fit everything into a case...this must become another po...

Re: Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
If you have a multimeter, it may have a mode for measuring current. You'd need to make a cable so you could wire it into the circuit, but it would tell you the current draw of the 0-Coast from its transformer. At this point, I'd sit tight and wait until Myvolts gets back to you. You might also cont...

Re: Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
Yeah, I'd contact Myvolts and ask them about their experience with the 0-Coast. I usually stick with Anker batteries, because I've had issues with other brands, so it's certainly possible your battery is delivering less than the specced current. There's a problem somewhere, though, because even if ...

Re: Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
Just tried it as you suggested. 0CTRL seems to work fine, but 0Coast did not. All leds blinked dimly once, and then nothing. Plugged it into the standard PSU and it worked fine. I guess that the 0coast needs more power to start up? You're probably right about the 0-Coast needing more current. Did y...

Re: Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
Ok, i now have an Ansmann 20.000mAh powerbank with two USB outputs and 2 x myvolts 15V. This should work right? I am a little bit afraid that I will fry both my 0Coast and 0CTRL since I don't know that much about voltage, current and resistance, more that the very basics (I guess som will say that ...

Re: Fitting a spring reverb into my suitcase
If I remember correctly, the medium sized tank is a few centimeters less in height as the big one too. Edit: just checked: length and width are shorter. Height is the same 3.3cm. Regarding the spring access, you can also mount the tank with the open side facing upward. Yes, I just jumped on the big...

Re: Fitting a spring reverb into my suitcase
Have you looked into half-width accutronics spring reverbs? I’ve once had one mounted in my portable Eurorack case and it sounded awesome. Didn’t really feel a need for a large tank then. Yes, but the issue is not length but height. The length of the large tank fits fine, but with the outer chamber...

Re: Fitting a spring reverb into my suitcase
Thank you Yes, after looking at numerous sites explaining the anatomy of a spring reverb, I understood that the "housing" or outer metal case is called the "outer channel". It sounds like I should keep it inside, and maybe mount it in the suitcase lid instead. But looking at the Knas Ekdahl Moisturi...

Fitting a spring reverb into my suitcase
I am building a suitcase 6U 82HP, and I have a small cavity in the bottom of the case. I have a large accutronics spring reverb, which I am thinking about putting in there. The thing is, that for it to fit, and to make the springs accessible, I need to remove the "outer case/channel". The thing is, ...

Battery powered 0CTRL + 0Coast
I recently discovered that MyVolts have a plug, that can help what many 0Coast owners have wanted for some time: making it portable. Now the question is: how do I find a battery that can power both 0CTRL and 0coast at the same time, that is with 2xUSB ports? I have seen elsewhere that some are using...

DIY euro suitcase
I am planning to make a DIY case inspired by this – I guess I am not the first to do this I recently found an old suitcase identical to the VCS, for about 15 Euro, and I am now looking for some advice on where to buy power, rails (preferrably threaded), and also how to set things up to isolate the p...

Hard to answer the question of what you need because you are talking about tools for music production. What type of music do you make / want to make? Give us an idea what you are going for - techno? abstract noise? 70's soundtracks? Once you have indicated that, let us know what other modules you a...

Mini euro Serge
I am considering starting a small euro-serge system. I am not super experienced, but I am really interested in the openness of serge modules, and that they be connected to my other modules. But the question is which modules to start with to make a small complete system? My plan is DUSG + SSG + VCFQ ...

I am somewhere in between these two, very different versions of my Pico case: 1. Size hog Pico Picture file After watching a lot of videos on the Morphagene, I think it looks like tons of fun. It seems very complex, and not very easy to get into, but it can really add atmosphere and something unique...
