Re: Twigs: Alternate Firmware for Branches

Thanks for making this update.
Had indeed noticed some issues with clock pulse recognition using the previous version of Twigs.
Installed this new version and now clock compatibility seems to work much better.

My Sinfonion came in this weekend thru Schneidersladen. Unfortunately it seems to have arrived with a production defect, namely the CH1 OUT does not work at all (a constant 0V output). Factory reset did not help. Confirmed the CH1 IN working correctly, though, by remapping the matrix. Already sent a...

Factory default Analogue Systems knob color coding (which I actually think inherits EMS color scheme): White for audio/signal paths, grey for CV/control, blue for frequency/clocks, red for ADSR, green for wave shape/width, yellow for res/slew/pan and orange for anything else. (That is, before I repl...

Three new modules from AJH Synth -> http://www.ajhsynth.com/Superbooth19.html I really like the Precision Voltages module, seems to offer exactly what I need right now :) A precision adder / substractor is always welcome, the dual octave and note shifting looks enticing and having a precision voltag...

Pretty much a whole bunch of Analogue Systems (Asys) modules. Although they finally (!) upgraded three of their modules to euro power bus and mounting holes, many of the more interesting modules have pretty much faded into obscurity. Not sure if they are still stocking (or potentially even building)...

Re: Verbos Bark Filter VS Frap Tools Fumana ?

Clearly. However, not only band stepness is different, so is the specific selection of the EQ bands. While Fumana is carefully distributed across 14 bands (roughly a Major 7th) with additional lowpass and highpass filters on first and last bands I thought that the Fumana frequency distribution was ...

Re: Verbos Bark Filter VS Frap Tools Fumana ?

The Fumana is actually 2 full 16 band filters behind 1 panel. It can do much better Vocoding. Clearly. However, not only band stepness is different, so is the specific selection of the EQ bands. While Fumana is carefully distributed across 14 bands (roughly a Major 7th) with additional lowpass and ...

Agree with the above. Purchased a Fumana recently on strength of some of some example videos. What I did not expect is the level of quality in terms of ‘precision’ in use and ‘clarity’ of the signal. It just feels ... extremely well made. Without turning this into a bashing of Verbos (of which I own...

Keep in mind that, with Batumi’s “alternate firmware” you will be able to attenuate from within Batumi itself.
Perhaps not as immediate as using an external attenuator, but still great in a smaller setup.

Doesn't ALM Beast's Chalkboard do this??? Edit, yes apparently it can! No, it can’t. It can only add or substract entire octaves to/from a single input. There’s no further note subdivisions or the option to precision add two separate inputs. I’m afraid that considerably limits this module’s use for...

I find the same - MacOS (HighSierra) indeed. Somehow the 8.3 naming gets jumbled on the MicroSD filesystem - even though it shows up normally as the original 8.3 filenames on the Mac itself, E352 list gets messed up (as if using longer filenames, I guess) Not really sure why that is.... tips? When talking about the OSC HRM, it's important to know that the harmonic spectrum slightly rolls off on the higher frequencies, i.e. what people often perceive as a 'warm sound'. This due to the recursive generation process used by this oscillator. When asked into this, Rob described this (to me at ...
