Pardon me for making comparisons to other music but I enjoyed the possible Tangerine Dream influence of Thief-like press rolls and some Phaedra-like space/vibe. I know you're probably not attempting to mimic or directly reference other things and what you're doing stands up on its own and is a prom...

Long Buchla Jam

Had a lot of fun with this very simple patch. Two voices, sequencing by Sputnik 5-Step sequencer adapted via a Blade frame, additional sequencing/time by hTT and 251e. DPO, 261e stacked for rhythm voice, and 259e on melody/spice voice. Direct to Zoom H6, with a touch of extra reverb added in post (i...

An indication of their plans for the 200e system would be desirable and interesting. I asked Foxtone about this at Superbooth and I got a vague we have amazing things in the works. They've followed through with pretty much everything else they've said so just have to wait. I sure hope to hear somet...

Live Performance, Mostly Mutable: Arrival

Piece I did in the monthly “Freq Boutique” hosted by WMD here in lovely Denver, Colorado. Used my single Intellijel 104/7U performance case loaded with 2xPeaks, 2xPlaits, Rings, Clouds, Veils, Stages, a Meta-Sequencer, TipTop ONE, Branches, OC, Temps Utile, and Qu-Bit Chance among other goodies. [vi...

Buchla Performance at Colorado Modular Synth Festival

The CMSF was the first event of its kind, and was organized and produced by a few very hard-working members of our club, the CMSS (society). Others of us got the opportunity to show up and play :-). Thought I'd share videos I made from the audio of my performance (we hope to produce first-hand event...

My 222e is sat outside so maybe that means I have a 21u. Also have a buchlafied tetramaps in another 2u so... The 252e would add a lot to what I have - maybe that's a way to go eventually. Yeah, I'm 252e curious, but don't really want to spend the $$. I figure I'd swap back and forth between that a...

I feel like 18U is the best size for me. I upgraded from a Skylab. I moved the 223e controller into my 18U for ergonomics, and love that. So, 18U was essentially a 50% increase in space, then. Complete?: Yes. It’s small enough to move fairly easily and take out for performances, yet big enough to ha...

Drone with a beat?

I don’t know what else to call it. Added video footage to a desk recording of one of the pieces from my performance Friday evening.

Great track! Looks like you have a polyglot - what modules do you have in there? I feel the same way about having the 223e controller in the boat instead of in the passive frame. I'll move mine out to make room for other modules, but always end up putting it back in. It just feels more complete som...

Buchla 200e Tune - On the Wing

First recording with my newly-enlarged case up to an 18U from my Skylab. Nice to have all my modules to hand, and the 223e controller right in the main case, which is so much more ergonomic than having it out in front.

How available is the Studio.H 258? Is this something I would have to scour the used market for? @tmeade thank you very much for the informative write up. Does anyone know how well the SAModular cases work with the 200e features? I've started thinking about their 2x6u case. I do really like the Skyl...
