Re: KOMA Field Kit FX Easter Egg

There was a post about this in this forum somewhere, saying that this feature didn't end up implemented in their firmware. And its source has been published on github - there's no phaser in there. Unfortunately they have released sources without any kind of makefiles or project files or build instru...

When you visit main page of their shop, it says they'll add a bonus module from White Line series for every purchase above 200 euro excluding shipping. Pretty sure it was 300 euro a few weeks ago, btw.

FH-2 inputs could work this way, but variable-level gates/triggers aren't common in Eurorack, and might be difficult to generate. It's difficult only if you don't have a spare VCA in your rack. The idea is to use a slow EG (typically a tempo synced LFO or envelope) that would change trigger amplitu...

1. I would like to see support for remapping MIDI notes to arbitrary scale via Scala files. 2. With FH-2, MIDI breakout and a FH-1 as expander it could be possible to have up to 4 channels of CV input convertable to MIDI as drum triggers. Is it possible with current firmware or something that would ...

Is there any chance that there would be added a new CV to MIDI algorithm that would treat all inputs as triggers to notes selectable by user? I'm looking for ways to control a drum machine from my modular, seems like that would be a good application for Disting.

Well I can at least confirm that USB mouse worked both directly and through the hub. I've found 2 PS3 gamepads from Sony and Logitech and none of them worked, same goes to an old Logitech Attack 3 joystick I had. Guess that means none of them are USB HID compliant, so that's a bit unfortunate. One o...

This is awesome news! But I'm curious, does using USB hubs introduce any noticable latency? Would it make sense to use multiple FH1 modules to lower it?

Instead of getting a dedicated wavefolder, you could try a digital module that has other algorithms besides wavefoldering. Two examples I can think about are MI Warps and ES Disting.

Their core features are the same, but E352 would get 1 addition input and 1 output (it has 8 IO channels while, E370 has 6 per voice). E352 will have a few additional modes as discussed in this topic, but I believe it's not supposed to have through-zero FM that E370 will. But yeah, the need for poly...

I would agree that you should get a second oscillator for modulation. For me it was WMD/SSF Spectrum, something like Intellijel Dixie would work great, but there's really lots of other options. Using it as FM modulator is one obvious reason. But more importantly, you can use PH as a waveshaper for o...

I don't own one, but was considering getting it. It is feature-rich and could be the most compact eurorack polyphonic oscillator, but it has a few flaws: 1. Settings are not being stored on power down, which is a really poor design choice. This means that oscillator 2-4 get their state reset every t...

I'm in the same boat waiting for E370. What I'm planning to use with it is: * 4ms VCA matrix for FM feedback (or just modulation) * Intellijel planar for quad panning or vector mixing * not sure about US, but European shops are out of Sputnik Quad VCFA as far as I can tell. I guess 2x Optomix is a s...

I wouldn't say it's a confusing synth per se. But what may become a source of confusion is that its submodules are not necessary fixed function. As an example - slope section can be used as AD envelope or as second oscillator or as FM modulator for main oscillator. If you don't quite understand synt...

Note that offset+attenuversion is not the only way to convert your LFOs to unipolar. If you have a triangle LFO, you can run it through full wave rectifier to make it unipolar - that would double its frequency as a side effect. If you have a square/pulse wave you can use half wave rectifier (frequen...
