For my purposes, this looks like a very useful tool. At 2MU, is wasn't quite what I was after, but now I can have both this and one of the other 1MU modules I've been considering instead of the Q107.

5U plans for the weekend? Listen, study, and learn. I have a couple of new (to me) modules and I'm wrapping my mind (and the rest of the system) around them, in particular, differences in (actual) output vs (expected) input signal voltage ranges.

I don't much. I find that a couple of thel traditional methods I learned long ago still work for me. I do now and then find sequences to be a fine way to record and play back ostinati and melodic fragments.

The math is interesting, but not very useful. You need only one analog knob and you already have (technically) an infinite number of patches. Personally, I'm more interested in (relatively small number of) general classes of (subjectively) useful/interesting/musical patches.

Wendy Carlos, Isao Tomita, Synergy, and Tangerine Dream, up to about 1980, and ELP from 70-74. Yeah, I'm that old. Much of what I've heard since then is either (1) primarily keyboard (i.e., not modular) synthesizer, or (2) ambient to the point of being instrumentally indifferent (often very beautifu...
