Re: Doepfer a-100 missing power supply

I've also seen them referred to as AMP female disconnects.

Re: Desoldering pump, electric, necessary?

I looked it up. If I'm not mistaken, basically I need to find the trace, scrape it down with a razor, add an old scrap lead and some solder to create a new pad? Heck, if both of those pins are connected to the same power rail, then you might be able to just bridge the power rail to the adjacent pin...

Sonic Pi is an included software option for coding music.

Look into LittleGPTracker as well.

A great eurorack interface is the Terminal Tedium.

Best of luck!

The simplest and likely most efficient option is to use the +5V rail of your power supply.

The maximum supply voltage should not exceed 6V according to the datasheet.

This case is excellent, but I can't figure out what the rectangular holes in the sides are meant for. I can't seem to find any modules that fit it.

I seem to recall Clouds having a "Help, I can't talk to the WM8731" light show. Could this be a similar occurrence?

Compiling G8 Firmware

I'd like to mess with the G8 firmware, but I'm not certain how to set up a proper development environment. At the moment winAVR exits with an error as follows: C:\Users\Justin\Downloads\G8_Open_Firmware_A\G8 Open Firmware A>make -------- begin -------- avr-gcc (WinAVR 20100110) 4.3.3 Copyrig...

How imperative is it that the 10 µF coupling capacitor, C24, is nonpolar in Braids/uBraids? I can't help but notice that the UWP1A100MCL1GB is a non-polarized cap and I'm paranoid that substituting any other cap will make the audio sound like trash. EDIT: A bit of sleuthing has revealed that it isn'...

Also I was asking if the supply board was still wired to the secondary of the transformer, not whether or not the outputs were connected to anything. Just trying my best to clarify that the supply isn't currently spaghetti junction. Difficult to say what these secondary outputs are given that Bel P...

is the supply board still connected? I received the supply with primary side jumpered for 120V. I received the supply with the terminals on the secondary side running from terminals C, BT, B, & B to their respective silkscreens on the supply PCB. The supply's outputs are currently disconnected. The...

Hey all, I scooped an HCC15-3-A for the low on eBay. I'm measuring continuity to ground on the terminals on the transformer's secondary side. This immediately told me to not proceed and ask for help. Is this common behavior for the secondary side of a transformer? My gut's telling me this is bad new...

One method I've used in the past is to heat the legs and leverage them up with a needle one by one. I have admittedly lifted a pad with this method, but even if you lift a pad you may be able to scrape a bit of soldermask off the corresponding trace and solder directly to the copper or you could use...

I've performed the XP-All mod. The soldering wasn't too difficult. I purchased the EPROM from a website called BuyICNow who flashed the chips for me, which saved me the cost of an expensive programmer.
