I felt this might be helpful to some that don't want to alter the front panel, but want to be able to switch between the ranges. I used a Schenck.work Pequeño module for the switching. It's a 1 hp module that sits nicely next the mal-2. Here is a small slideshow of what I did: https://www.instagram....

18hp, color doesn’t matter as much to me, but would lean towards black if I had to choose.

Looks amazing either way :nana:

I was this close to ordering a second Mantis, but this is making me wait. I love the look of these and I have been happy with Arturia so the 6U is defintiely a contender. The price is great, I wish it was more hp, but its tolerable enough. Between this, the Minibrute 2S and the DFAM I am going to be...

I too am going to order a second of these.

They both sound very different from each other. The mother got me into eurorack so kudos to Moog for making me not w...

I only got to play around with it for about 30 mins last night, but I am really enjoying it. Especially the percussive card. I got some really nice sounds out of it. I was only using it in the File Select mode right now. Hoping this weekend to spend some quality time with it.

I am actually a little dumbfounded on the color scheme for this one, but there are a ton of people around who simply don't care about aesthetics, or I suppose, who like that sort of "off grey" color. I've said it earlier in the thread and probably elsewhere, but I really didn't want to get it at fi...

Is this just the way it is and some cases are going to limit what modules you can add? Yes, this is true. Or in some instances in some cases depending on way it was built or where power supplies sit etc, it can limit where you can put some modules. I just ran into this with my 2hp Verb. I could not...

Yes, you'd need 3. The mother is 60hp wide, so you can't fit two of them into one 104hp case. Edit: whoops, sorry! I misread your message. I don't think you need any additional case for the three tier kit, it mounts to the mothers Just to make sure I'm clear: I have bought one Moog 104hp case and a...

re test points, take a look here: http://ornament-and-cri.me/build-it/ (at the very bottom). that's mainly just to make sure the power rails and reference voltages are doing ok. a good point to test is when having populated the board, prior to inserting the teensy (and probably prior to soldering t...

I think mouser has just gotten tired of counting the small numbers of smt parts us DIY hobbyists use, and just cut off an approximation of the number ordered. Sounds like you got around 100 instead of 10 - bonus! Save them for the next project! Thats what I am assuming. And yes, these will come in ...

So a few very noob questions related to this project. This was the first project I purchased the parts myself for, instead of going the full kit route. Is it normal for mouser to be way off on quantities? I used the BOM/cart link from the o_C site and I am now the proud owner of a ton of 100k resist...

Hasten slowly! Double-check everything before soldering (see post above - look at the photos in the build guide carefully to verify correct orientation of parts) and as you go, periodically clean off the flux and inspect your soldering under magnification. It is much better to get it right first ti...
