Re: stuber DDD anticipation station

Would be great to get a "green light" on what patching is safe to/from stuber to other CL gear.

Re: stuber DDD anticipation station

Great clips! So it appears you can safely patch from Stubers plethora of nodes to the Coco? Are we safe to assume none of the jacks act like "brown" Rollz?

Re: stuber DDD anticipation station

Just received the Stube. Great fun filtering anything and everything. Can be controllable, or chaotic with a few patches. Got the banana version, so some plugs and Pomona's working together should help control the chaos when needed. Still not sure how the jacks next to the button work, but patching ...

Re: DrumKid - aleatoric (random) drum machine

Having a blast on the ND3 with the Drumkid driving. Got updated within 10 minutes. Love the onboard channel reassignment! Plenty of grooves to explore. Looking forward to future tweaks to the beat selection, and (me) getting CC automation dialed in.

Re: DrumKid - aleatoric (random) drum machine

Excellent. We were looking at the new Midihub box that was just released. DRM1, 01/IV and ND3 look like candidates for custom templates for a hardwired setup.

Re: The Division Department - 01/IV Drum Synthesizer

The 01/IV has four identical voices with three filter settings, drone mode, FM, and CC modulation. None of the voices are "drum, kick, snare, hat" so you will need to flip a switch and dial each voice to taste. Size wise the 01/IV is right there with most semi modular tabletop units and low profile....

Re: Keith McMillen K-Mix - MIDI controllable AI/mixer

I've been able to setup the Kmix to work with my 2018 iPad Pro. You will want some type of dongle to allow usb midi devices to be used while the Kmix is plugged in (minimum 2 usb slots). I use AUM to pipe the I/O, and allow post monitoring (iPad output). Kmix is then set to post to loop back the iPa...

Audio in mods look sweet. This machine ooozes soundscapes as heard in the demo. Might be a pricey haul with the keys onboard. Glad to see basic midi addressed.

Re: Sixty four pixel Noodlebox, 4x cv/gate/midi sequencer

Need to see more of the file/song structure, and how this interacts more with standalone hardware. The good thing about the matrix resolution, is that short words/numbers can be used for complex UI stuff. How does the user know which CC value is being modulated, same with reset of song pointer posit...

Re: The Division Department - 01/IV Drum Synthesizer

The user card(s) that come with the unit is a nice sidekick to use while you learn the units control features. The two bottom knobs are wide range and multi use for setting the envelopes, repeats, and LFO destination settings (which aren't noted as CC only, like LFO shape). There is also a specific ...

Count in is required to play sync'd devices early in the sequence. Part of the design. Just record one extra loop at start.

Re: The Division Department - 01/IV Drum Synthesizer

I ordered 1 and after realizing how awesome the fm function is, and decided a second unit could give me 4 fm voices on two channels. Ordered both units directly from DD on the first run, so hopefully there are more in stock now that PC has stocked some units. Appreciate the positive words :tu:

Re: The Division Department - 01/IV Drum Synthesizer

One of my 01/IV's randomly stopped working last night. Midi still allows pass through, and I can run some diagnostic mode by holding button 1 while turning on the unit (voice 4 drones), but all triggers and midi in don't fire any of the voices. The unit has been babied, so nothing by way of movement...

V1's clip mechanism would not hold the module connected. The "V2" has a mismatching color more "translucent" clip that solidly holds the module down.

Re: 'Logic/Utility Box' for semi modulars

You'd probably be best putting together your own little box with something like a 4ms pod - though of course you then have to trawl & figure what to include from the overly wide range of eurorack options! Basically I think that designing something widely useful for many different users is always go...

Re: interesting modern digital synths?

ASM Hydrasynth. I've not had mine for long but there is a metric fuckton of waveshaping options including FM, ring mod, and multiple flavours of sync and width modulation. I played an Argon8 and came away less than impressed. It felt cheap, didn't offer the same level of visual feedback, and the in...

:tu: there’s not a lot of OP-Z lovers nowadays :hihi: Good luck! No - they’ve all fallen apart by now... :-) (love the concept but the quality of the op-z and oplab is dreadful and their technical support is non-existent) have you used an op-z? i don't know about TE's tech support (never had to use...
