just received my flight 12u. i concur about the nuts...but not about the "vector" aspect. these nuts are ordinary square jam nuts (a la mcmaster-carr) which is why they suck so terribly. i have vector rails plus vector nuts in my other case and they are absolutely smooth. kind of a bummer this criti...

The case I had built through Verellen amps will stay open. It uses locking hinges, and is balanced enough between dimensions, materials, power supply and module placement to keep itself in check. He can build others using the same design and adjust it your needs. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/us...

Expanding a busboard's headers via a flying bus board cable

Hey there. I am in a situation where I have some useable power, several gaps, and no available headers. The main long-term plan is to put in another two busboards, but as an interim solution I was considering chaining a flying ribbon off of the powered board to give me a few more headers. Do I run t...

Shoot! I suspect I am too late for this, but I was hoping I might be able to get a bare daughterboard. I got the panel last run and the CGS board, but no daughterboard...

Anyway, if it is remotely possible, please list me for 1 (one) daughterboard.

Otherwise, third time's a charm?

I just thought of a possible solution. You could get a replacement external frame for a modular backpack system, then rig up a way to attach the synth to the frame.

Something like this...

I used to carry my 6u to my practice space on the platform of my cycletruck...not exactly useful info, other than the fact someone else is crazy enough to bike around a modular synth.

Yep, it renders down to a wav file on your local disk, and then uses sysex/midi sample dump to transmit the data over. But in my case, I just need the wav file(s) to dump onto an sdcard for tabularasa.

I've been looking for something like this -- except, for my tabularasa! It looks like it will work fine for that purpose as it outputs 8bit wav files that can be limited to a single cycle. Spoke somewhat too soon -- it outputs to a concatenated wav bank instead of discrete wav files. Any chance for...

How badly would using 475r vs 470r resistors be in this circuit? I ask because I managed to botch my mouser order by ordering only one 470r, but I had a few extra 475r resistors laying around from another project....

really, i revived the thread because i'm just curious about what might be happening from a technical perspective. going full ccw with coarse pitch means applying full voltage to that path. that makes me think that there is a component which for some unknown reason becomes reset for a time when hit w...

the issue has returned after a couple weeks of solid performance. i still haven't reflowed the components yet, so i suppose that is to be expected. however, i am still trying to wrap my mind around why turning the coarse knob full CC and back to the original value temporarily fixes the issue. any gu...

i second the a119 for your existing setup of piezo triggers. the amp section should boost the piezo input enough to reduce how hard you'd have to hit it, and you also get the envelope follower functionality. then combine it with a tripfire for rhythmic craziness.

I've been trying to find a a way to cv control my Eventide Space without killing it, and that led me to thinking about some sort of "universal adapter" (read: inline offset/attenuator/limiter) that can be dialed in to meet the particular needs of an input. I'm thinking something like a small project...

4ms shoutout

Just got my VCA matrix in the mail today, and while I haven't actually racked it and used it, I have to give them a huge thanks for putting the component values on the PCB. It's a very thoughtful thing to do.

Mine was pretty solid. And, while not a true road case (melamine shell, external hardware, etc), I did gig with it for over a year without issue. I didn't get the one that had the attenuators so I can't speak to the reliabilty of those, but I can say the PSU in mine was quiet and I never hit its wal...

regarding bad solder joint... you're thinking that stresses of use (patching, switches, etc) might be pulling on a weakened joint resulting in an intermittent connection?

it's in the other case currently after another reseat, a twist and reset of the tuning calibration trimpot and some downtime, and it is now solid. i'm beginning to think it's heat-related, though...that might account for the delay in onset and miraculous recovery after being unpowered for a bit.

i'll give the trim pots a go. i just put it into my other case, and now i'm getting the "course knob only has high frequency range" issue noted in a couple other posts. i also compared the output of my power supplies from both cases with the afg plugged in and found they are the same, so i'm pretty ...
