Re: Filter Design Theory

+1 for Lantermann.
Here’s a lecture he posted a few days ago on the Moog ladder.

Re: External oscilloscope?

I got myself a second hand Tektronix off of eBay. Works like a charm, but it’s huge and most of the features are probably stuff you don’t need if you just want to see waveforms etc. I’ve got some free oscilloscope software on my PC that works really well, I can recommend something like that whole he...

Re: Microgranny alternatives

The 404 is an amazing sampler my favorite I’ve ever had, but it could be overkill for this. Maybe you could get a dongle for your phone? I’ve got the koala sampler app it’s pretty nifty.

Could be on to something here. Personally I feel analog sound sources lead to a better taste. Has a certain "warmth" to it.

I keep thinking about getting a desktop power supply too. And of course you see people using power supplies anywhere from $50 to several hundred$ so it's a little hard to figure out how much to really spend. I don't do a ton of builds so I can't justify getting some NASA approved unit but a half wa...

where was the smoke coming from? what value resistor did you use? the first circuit was some power filtering and a linear voltage regulator. the resistors were sorta random, 100ohm and 10ohm or something update: some simple math V=IR, 12=I*100, I = .12. P = IV, 12*.12 = 1.44W, way too much. still b...

a dumb beginner question

so today I started my diy journey towards designing my own stuff. I tried my hand at breadboarding a simple circuit, powered from my doepfer PSU2, and... I successfully made some magic smoke. I tried twice more, this time simply connecting a resistor once from 12V to ground, and once from 12V to -12...

bought an arcade noise on your recommendation, great module, I don't entirely understand how it works, plus there's no manual, but you can get all sorts of looping and non looping noise tones as well as some noisy-ish pitches out of it. Recently got a ritual electronics miasma, awesome feedback and ...

Update: I am stupid and have misspelled the email, in my defense however I don't speak any Czech. What's more, my pa...
