Re: Erica Synths Graphic VCO
I have this module for a few years now. Would I have bought it knowing how about the lack of support? Probably not. Am I planning on selling it? Nope, I still really like how it sounds and I kind of accepted all the downsides. Still I feel a bit sad about it since it leaves the impression it could h...

Nice update! Just wondering. Can the 4hp versions do the white noise trick?

Re: uHe goes Eurorack?
Any word on the price? Can’t seem to find the module on schneidersladen yet Our freshly updated website has more info, plus user guides and stuff: https://u-he.com/products/cvilization/ (We always wanted to stay under 300$ net, but some parts, assembly and effort/time have driven us more towards 30...

Re: Eurorack Delay - Rainmaker vs Magento
I have both. But due to availible hp I only have the Magneto racked up. Something I haven't seen being mentioned before in this thread is that Magneto does a pitch shifting effect when altering the speed of the delay while Rainmaker doesn't. jjclark did some explanation in the Rainmaker thread on wh...

+1 Very good point.bedhed3000 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 2:43 pm2. If you go with the Happy Nerding, then in the future realize that you need more VCAs, you can add another 3XVCA and get 6 total additional VCAs in the same amount of space as something like the Intellijel quad VCA or Veils.

Re: Introducing Chainsaw - 4hp polyphonic supersaw oscillator
How does this compare with the Demon Core Oscillator plus expander? Looking at both, but don't really have the space for the demon core plus expander, and wondering if the chainsaw will do the job just as well. Depends on what you’re trying to achieve. In general the demon core + expander is more g...

Re: Best module combinations of different designers
I'm pretty happy with the combo: Usta, Quadigy, Viels and Sinfonion. I pretty much always have it patched up where the channels/numbers on all of the modules correspond to each other. So track 1 on Usta --> into channel 1 on Sinfonion ---> is being controlled by env 1 on Quadigy --> goes thru vca 1 ...

Re: Quadra Vs Maths
Yes, you do want to free up Maths. Maths can do many cool things but it is not worth the space or the price if you only use it for envelopes. So if you find that you stop using Maths when you have gotten a dedicated envelope generator then you can sell Maths to free up the space and the cash withou...

Re: Patch Ideas!
Random idea for patch starting point:
Start with Maths as the main clocking source and modulate the rise and/or fall to get weird clocks. Use this to clock pnw.
Edit:
Update the PNW firmware and use the quantizer to make melodies. Freeing up Rene to serve as sequencer for modulation only.

Yeah it was fun to genuinely see his mind get blown while just scratching the surface of what he could do with it. Agreed about the community he has build up. People seem to be really helpful to each other. Looking forward to the next stream where he should be a bit more familiar with how the Sinfon...

Re: ACL Sinfonion
Collin Benders bought a Sinfonion and did a first patch session during his modular lockdown stream. It’s a bit lengthy but it does give a good impression on what the module is like when given to some one with no experience of using it (he did however got a bit of help from the chat). Skip to 3:05:00...

Re: Frap Tools USTA
New USTA user here. Trying to wrap my head around it. For now I have mixed feelings but then again I've only been messing around with it for some hours and sequencing has never been my forte. The whole idea of getting a strong sequencer like this was to finally put the time in and improve my skills...

Re: Need sequencer suggestions!
While I think that you indeed shouldn't overlook a combination of simple sequencers and utility-esque modules. My personal experience is that this quickly made me feel very limited and you also run into other issues like S&H modules that aren't precise enough for holding pitch cv or that you don't h...

To get an overview. Fellow muffwigler Mdoudoroff has an excellent website with a nice list of all the more advanced eurorack sequencers out there. Every time a new sequencer gets announced the list gets updated. https://doudoroff.com/sequencers/ Agree with Agawell. Thinking about how many voices you...

Small update. The longer the rack is on the smaller the devation seems to get. C0 is now jittering between 0.000V and 0.001V and C8 is now reading 8.006V.

Re: Frap Tools USTA
I'm no EE or sequencer designer but I think the problem is this: when the root note is set to C0 that means that USTA has to add 24 semitones steps from to 0v / absolute zero to get to that C2 you set in the template. By protocol each step is 1/12 of a volt so that one whole volt corresponds to an ...

Re: Frap Tools USTA
Would setting al the encoders to C2 (via set all + rotating first encoder) do the trick? I actually also did this and then saved the project so I have a template that I can quickly recall.
