Re: [DEMOS ADDED!] Mutant Bassdrum (808 derivative) PCB/panels

My mutants bass drum does not process triggers from a trigger riot, contrary to my hihats. it does receive triggers from an LFO, pulses from turing or the riots' clock. the trigger input seems to be rather picky. it works fine with pulses from a dixie, an scm, or an sq1. but it won't trigger when r...

slider knobs: source wanted

anybody know a source for these slider knobs (or similar ones)?

they measure about 8mm x 10mm x 12mm

i bought them a few years back, but can't remember where. the closest ones i can find now are these, but they are a bit too wide for my taste.

Re: [DEMOS ADDED!] Mutant Bassdrum (808 derivative) PCB/panels

i finally got around to building my mutant bassdrum (v1.05). it does work and can produce some really cool kicks - especially with the built-in vc distortion, which sounds great! there are a few oddities, though. i'm not sure which of them are bugs of my particular build, and which ones are just qui...

any news on the bleed through of the filter out? I got the same problem with my DIY Vogue. Any help would be nice. Cheers
has anybody ever found a fix for this?

as mentioned earlier (well, 5 years ago), the ne5532 for tl072 swap did fix the noise, but not the bleed issue for me...

Is the keyboard technology basically the same as in some Eurorack modules, e.g. in MakeNoise "Pressure Points", or "Rene"? probably. It does remind me of MI Ears.. it has nothing to do with ears. ears generates audio signals from mechanical excitation using a piezo disk. touchplate keyboards like t...

For arturia to take advantage of that just to sell a product without any communication with Mutable Instruments is just lame but that's not what happened. it's not that they didn't communicate with m.i. it's just that they initially misrepresented that one-sided communication as a 'collaboration' b...

At least Arturia is dealing with this by an apology and website update rather than attempting to prosecute its critics in court. yes, they've done the right thing , so i guess that closes the 'collabogate' chapter: Someone from Arturia has sent apologies and the site is being reworked. One more rea...

wow, this looks and sounds amazing. i‘m definitely interested in building one of these!

just one question: i don‘t see any clock inputs or outputs on the panel designs posted earlier. it will be possible to sync this box to an external clock though, won‘t it?

i got one at 17:04 central european summer time (utc+2), which is 16:04 british summer time (utc+1).
i guessed that perhaps he actually meant 'bst' rather than 'gmt' - and i guessed right (and so did 19 others). :)

now that i have been able to fix the envelope, there seems only one issue open with my build: the manual says about the time cv input: "DELAY TIME CONTROL (0V - 5V)" but on my unit, the effective cv range for time cv is +/-1v. there is nothing happening beyond 1v... anybody else getting any delay ti...

I think you should double check that you don’t have that 470p cap on. Check to see if you left out the correct one? oh. em. gee. this is beyond embarrassing. i was positive that i had left that 470n unpopulated. turns out i hadn't. i removed it, and now the envelope is behaving just like it s...

well, at least the manual confirms my observation about warm-up times and vco stability: "TUNING AND STABILITY Lil’ Erebus needs at least 20 min of warm up until the oscillators are stable. If your module is out of tune, leave it to warm up for 35 min and follow the calibration procedure described o...

meanwhile, i've noticed another thing i didn't expect: the echo time cv input on the lil erebus seems to respond only to voltages around +/-1v. by contrast, the echo cv input of the desktop erebusses (erebi?) responds to +/-2.5v (according to the manuals of erebus and erebus 2 ). it's still a great ...

Do you have the 3rd optional 470n cap in circuit? There is a * in the manual that says the Erebus v2 behavior is to not have that 3rd cap on. no, i left that one unpopulated as suggested in the build guide. (that part wasn't included in my kit, anyway) so, does the env on your lil erebus behave dif...
