you could go for a cheap ~$30-ish USB-to-SPDIF box and give ES-40 a try
Did you ever try this?
I have this FiiO
OLYMPUS 2-E10K
USB audio interface (based on the TI PCM 5102) with an S/PDIF coax output on it lying around; I'm wondering if it'll work with an ES-40...

Re: µDervish: 8HP FV-1 euro FX

Found the .com (i.e. vs. .uk) blue 7-seg https://www.ebay.com/itm/231818937607 (and ordered some!)

Re: µDervish: 8HP FV-1 euro FX

@toneburst; Couple of questions about the blue 7-seg: Did you have to adjust resistor values? If so, what did you end up using? Do you know of a compatible part available from a U.S. distributor? Given the current state of global affairs, I don't want to rely on international shipping. I'm checking ...

Yeah, turns out it was a patching issue. It's possible to set the VCO tuning such that the DCO essentially turns off...
The PDF manual has a lot of good info, but some of it is kinda buried.
Oh! Almost forgot: thanks a million skookum for all the PM help!

Yep, nice easy build; it's awesome to have direct access to the extra outputs. The only trouble I've run into is that I get nothing from the DCO output, not even a blip on the scope. I've triple checked continuity/voltages on everything; I'm starting to think that the Anushri must need to be set up ...

me! I send PCBs by regular airmail for USD5.
Tho shipping to the US in December is pretty slow.
Cool! I probably won't order until after the new year anyway.

Some of the "basic" modules requested have been implemented by 3rd-party plugin devs (list from the <Rack wiki> ). So far, there's an LFO, several sequencers, some killer filters, several quants, and a bunch of other stuff. For those wondering about having to login to Autodafe's website etc, you can...

Touchscreen support...

::wistful sigh::
Runs fine on my Surface 4 Pro, but the pen doesn't do anything, and touch (finger) just makes the knobs jump to 100% (as someone else mentioned).
I'd be happy to help with testing, but I have no programming expertise (or hardware) to offer...

Mostly I'm being funny; but partly from going over my Mouser shipment, the BOM, and then for the first time the v3 schematic, which is where I realized that the diodes were necessary. Also a PM conversation with a fellow wiggler.

Yeah, don't know what's up with that BOM, but those diodes are REQUIRED. Ask me how I know :D

It was a good day for me when the lightbulb went off re: "ammo pack" vs. bulk reel vs. whatever - they're all different part #s, but that's literally the only difference.

Very nice.
I did something similar for my Anushri; it was about US$60 for the whole case from Pololu, cut and engraved (I colored it by hand).
What an amazing time we live in, when something like this is even possible.

Presumably 474-COM-12986. These are listed as being the actual Sparkfun parts (same price, even), but obviously you'll save on shipping if you get everything else through Mouser.

The MW shop in Portland (USA) shut down a while ago. The space is now occupied by Modular Eight, *super* nice guys (they even entertained my wife while my son and I geeked out :P ); I dropped in when I was in Portland on holiday.

Good lord, how funny is this. I just finished an MST Dual Envelope using 1M A-taper Tayda trimpots (bought by accident >_<), along with cheap T18 knobs from Mouser - which I had to ream out. I actually used a Phillips screwdriver with an almost-exactly 6mm shaft, and although everything just fits, i...

Re: Erbe-Verb Q

I'm really interested in this, but I'm not following; where is the CV Out going? Or did you mean CV *In* to the Erbe-Verb? IIRC, the CV out of the EV was patched into Depth CV input. Setting the Depth panel control pretty far CW results in the shimmer, and setting the attenuverter CCW will mean tha...

Erbe-Verb Q

Another trick I picked up was using the CV out from the Erbe-Verb to control the depth, so that it shimmers when the volume is low.
