Re: Classic software lost to the ether of new computing

I really miss a unique little piece of Mac software called "b1257+12". I still keep an old OS9 machine around just so I can run it. If you're out there Netochka Nezvanova, please code a modern version! Any chance you could share that? oh yeah, this was fun. I remember all the chaos they used to on ...

Re: Classic software lost to the ether of new computing

I recently started putting together a list of older software I used to use.
Some are out there and will not be easy to find again and any archives I have are in deep storage.

Cellular Automata
Phonogramme
ThOnk
Lemur
Sound Effects

Re: Home-built "PA" suggestions

PA systems are a whole world onto themselves with their own learning curve. I've been putting together a small PA and as an audio engineer and musician with a couple of decades under my belt I find it fascinating but not entirely simple. If you decide to pursue this keep in mind that every type of s...

There isn't a huge amount of choices in hardware video synthesis and a major part of the cost is that the components are precision, thus more expensive. Im sure someone else can chime in on software or options for Vector resynthesis. I would love to see some more people join in the fray but I am ver...

To use the term "vapor ware" suggests promises not kept, a manufacturer couldn't come though, etc. Usually in these cases a company also completely disappears from public view. -When you are talking about a company that is not only exploring new terrain but managing to release a hefty output in both...

The way I have my Wiard 300 set up is two rows of six with a controller (which is more then enough) then I have two rows of 1200 and 1 row with 2 anti, two "uncle" and two mix. I often use the 1200 Euro as it's own system. I own a few spare 300 and a second controller which I have stowed away for a ...

I would be "happy" if they started doing reasonable one offs for people who have systems and wanted to add on. I use both modern and vintage gear and don't have a need to prove something by having my Moog be 100% vintage or original. Modulars are supposed to be Frankenstein instruments. To that end ...

Just to keep both friends and Bubblesound customers abreast. David went into the hospital on the 27th of July with what the doctors thought might be an appendicitis. He had surgery in the wee hours of the 28th, the thing turned out to be a ruptured appendix. He now is rocking an 8" stapled incision ...
