Re: Miasma: Function Generator (DIY PCB based on Befaco Rampage)

I'm about to get building my miasma (pcv v1.3). Looking forward to it. I just took a read through this thread and compiled a list of mods that someone might (probably) want to make. I'm also summarizing how to make the mods so folks can use this as a one stop mod shop. If nothing else, it will be he...

Re: Lyra-8 DIY expansion and panels

two questions: 1) anyone have 8 extra B5M 24mm pots I could buy? 2) if not, anyone want to go in on an order with me? Jameco seems to be the only supplier and they have a minimum order service charge bringing the order to $20 if it is below $20 (which 8 pots is). Instead of paying $25 to get 8 pots...

panasonic wj-mx12 LumaMod

Hey all. I have a panasonic wj-mx12 that I would like to modify so I can key against a video source. This seems to be somewhat commonly done on the wj-mx10: http://matiaswilkman.blogspot.com/2009/11/wj-mx10-luma-key-mod.html But seems rarer on the mx12, maybe b/c the mx12 itself is less popular and ...

Re: Neutron sound Dust of Time.

Hint: if you want to use a CV to control the "amount" of an internal modulator (like how a mod wheel works) use a "fuser" modulator with the function set to "mult(vca)" with one source set to the modulator you want to use, and the other to the CV you want to use. Makes sense, but thanks for the poi...

Re: Producing dub, beginner question

My original synth studio motivation was to build up a studio where I could live jam and simultaneously live dub a jam. My interests have grown since then, but this is still something I'd like to work towards Put another way, should i dub a mixed session - or treat the dub as the mix? I think this he...

Re: Precision Adder

can't you do most of this by transposing one octave on a sequencer? Beatstep Pro etc can do this easy. I'm looking to do much more than octave transposing. Many sequencers might can do some of the things the precision adder can do, but within the modular CV is king and that can usually let you do m...

awesome! thanks for sharing. how precise have you found it to be in practice? really, I want to know if you've found it good enough to add v/oct without the need for a quantizer after the summing.
Adding 1V to 1V. Good enough?

Re: Deckard's Dream

DD's owners, I'm trying to decide between it and an OB-6 desktop module. I think they both fit in that synth category "pay for the raw tone", because they are not very deep in modulation and they have a huge sweet spot. My question is: is DD capable of something more than Blade Runer-ish sounds? I ...

I feel it's my duty to squash conspiracy theories that apply to me in this post-truth era of 2020. So, here you go. It's better than a cell-phone recording, but it only better shows off my poor playing. This is the kick-off of my documented travails learning the dvina. Hear I only pluck it - bowing ...

Re: temps_utile / 6 x clock generator [build thread etc]

I'm hoping to be able to mount my temps utile upside-down. Poking around in the files I noticed that there isn't anything in TU_options.h to uncomment similar to ornaments & crime (https://ornament-and-cri.me/compilation_options/) With only fairly limited programming experience, I'm curious to know...

Re: J.Haible's Living VCO for Eurorack [Build Thread]

I got my hands on a badcode pcb + panel set. I'm close to done sourcing parts for it. Can someone help me with the tempco deets? I've seen both 1k 3300ppm and 1k 3500ppm thrown around. Synthcube sells both: 1k 3300ppm from ankaeohm and 1k 3500ppm from krl/bantry. Is one preferred over the other? man...

Reviving this b/c I'm in the market. My interest is in something in the eurorack format that can sample. Anyone have experience with using terminal tedium for as a sampler? eg, https://github.com/wilsontr/tt-patches provides an experimental/WIP pd patch names Pierre which is inspired by the phonogen...

Hi Whyfarer,

I didn’t get an email. Curious where did that email originate from? Soma, Russian EMS, Poland postal service, USPS?

Thanks!
I got an email from russianpost.ru. I don't remember signing up for tracking updates, but I must have at some point :hmm: Looks like they landed in the US!
