Re: Thoughts on Euro LPGs, please?

On the random chance you have a 1U Intellijel row, the new PLPG modules seem to be pretty great and very cheap ($39). I have 4 and really like their sound. Was tempted, but ended up getting an Erica monster case instead. And then another. I had clocked the 1U lpgs! Tempting! I made this precisely b...

Re: Polyend Tracker

But it's quite frustrating as I was convinced it would be a good purchase after watching all the people who got pre-sale versions gush about it, with no mention of any sync issue, then once I got it I noticed the sync issue straight away but didn't read anything about it on any other forum so I had...

Re: New Firmware - The Pain and the Joy of Updating Modules

Modules not updated due to 'impossibility': 4ms Looping Delay - Jesus Christ on a stick, I mentioned this 5/6 years ago - it will just not 'take', despite many many attempts. I was hoping after all this time it had been fixed :/ The firmware is on github - you could just spend £5 on a programmer, c...

btw, where are you getting your board/panel from? I am contemplating building one as well
pcbs - I modded one or two but the others I just sent to allpcb/jlcpcb
Panel - designed my own - they’re all on my GitHub

Re: TiNRS Tuesday DIY QFN Parts

Anyone made up a DIY TiNRS Tuesday? I'm really tempted, but I'm a bit worried about the fine-pitch QFN ICs. Does anyone have any experiences, tips etc. they'd like to share on this build, before I invest in a board? I find them ok - I’ve done quite a few (I also use qfn on my as3320 hpf and lpf fil...

Re: ornaments+crimes extended / polymorphic 4x16bit CV generator

FWIW, I've been repairing my own gear for 20+ years and have good tools and techniques and my day job is writing software, so I'm fairly confident the resistor swap went OK. The firmware was pulled from GitHub last week and built without a problem. With so much experience and knowledge, I’m sure th...

Re: Mutable Instruments Veils 2020

I purchased mine about a month ago, not knowing it would be discontinued. Just saying it's smart move to coordinate a price drop of the last v1 run, or at least give it a bit more space. I'm a couple weeks out of the return window, and disgruntled about it. I dont agree - how much notice should you...

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

I really needed the additional info on power supply requirements/specs from the new draft datasheet that I believe is under development with Dan. That was the bit I was not getting until I read it.... and even there it was pretty much only needing to understand the negative rail’s regulation requir...

Re: Updated SSI2130 VCO Datasheet available...

Thanks Tom! The SSI2164 datasheet improved over time, and you can see the contributions of several authors, not to mention the incredible AN-701 from Jeroen. I suspect the SSI2130 will be the same, with major revisions to begin with and tweaks later on. Neil This is great to see... cheers Neil...

Question for the audience at large: what topics, features, details or other information would you like to see in the SSI2130 data sheet? Re: Ornament + Crime

Okay thanks! And why are there so many versions going around? Seemingly from different manufacturers with different ideas on how it should be. Similar to how mutable stuff is cloned i guess? pid’s being very modest - there were three originators/developers of the hardware and firmware who have put ...

Re: Ornament + Crime

No worries, I think we're on the same page. Experimental code = code without tests (or hats) = there's no great way of formal (regression) testing other than brute force. If you have time to check the things you know, hop at it! Ideally you'll use different corners of the apps than I do :) Will do!...
