Re: VCAs with Character
Manhattan VCA are my go to. Can be pushed, multiple CV in and they easily beef up any source. Love running drum sounds through them.

Re: Mutable Instruments Only System - Possible ?
I can't imagine committing to a singular brand purely based on sound alone. This is an interesting observation; I can see your point in the current world of modular, where there are so many flavors to choose from, but "back in the day" people absolutely made choices based on the sound of a brand: R...

Re: Mutable Instruments Only System - Possible ?
I can't imagine committing to a singular brand purely based on sound alone. I definitely have brands I am more or less fans of but no one has everything I would need. Mutable is a good example of a brand I had quite a few pieces from and ultimately have only kept Peaks. My taste in vco, filters, and...

If you are willing to put the effort in Future Retro Transient will cover a lot of ground.
Modcan FMVDO or Dual Wave with filter/vca/env fo more esoteric, roll your own efforts

Transient with the most current firmware does have pitch control for each sample independently g.a.s ing hard right now, ia looking at Transient Plus demo's and damn. that isn't what i was thinking about at first but it looks so fun to play with and it's sound..... my neighbors probably hate my rig...

Re: eurorack drums
Transient with the most current firmware does have pitch control for each sample independently. I love the Transient as it can do the classic drum sounds as well as mangled options. I made some trippy basslines with the Transient using some tom samples that are pitched and mixed going through a LP o...

Re: eurorack drums
I have switched to modular for drums almost exclusively now. I have the Transient(2x), SY.05, Entity Perc, and a TipTop One for singular voices. The drum case also has 2 vco, 2 noise sources, 3 filters, ring mod, vca, env and mixers for patching my own voices. The best kicks have always been ones th...

Re: intellijel Rainmaker
Rainmaker is in the mail. This marks my return to Eurorack after a 5 year hiatus. I have a 62hp pallet and I am already considering my next module purchase. Something to control the RM. I’m considering; quadrax, tetrapad, or planar2. Which would you get to modulate the RM and why? Quadrax plus plan...

Re: I will review your modular tracks
Would you consider working on a track together, Hi5 ? I have this insane waveguidey drum beat I recorded lately, almost passes for a minimal rave banger on its own (4min duration), I would like some synths added on it and then also one of the best four-on-the-floorers I ever produced, but it's 1 mi...

Patch your own. Unless you really need less hp in a single module kicks are the easiest thing to patch and tweak to your specific needs.

Richter Megawave

Really pushing VCA and feedback patches always goes a long way. Love the Manhattan vca for general gain.

Multitrack through my board. Individual channels then mixed down through the board after arranged. Global fx added as well as eq/comp/sat from outboard. Computer is just a tape machine with easier editing.

Sounds good to me. G-Storm seem to be picking up some steam here on Muffs. Lately Ive been seeing more talk about his modules. Thats awesome. His Tonus VCF is pretty nice too. Grabbed the 4023 VCF and the added gain on the inputs is very much welcomed. Been throwing drum sounds in with great result...

Hadn’t seen a post for this one yet. Been a fan if the ARP filters and just got the Grynix. It shreds.
