Can anyone suggest other modules that do similar stuff the erb-verb does in terms of noise, distorted/atonal washes and feedback sounds?

every 909 (and 808) we hear is tweaked. i've been to a jeff mills gig lately jeez i would have begged him to stop hitting his 909 cause that sound comming straight out the box was ligthyears away from the 909 sounds that came with the tracks he was mixing. preamp, eq, verb and comp... So they've realized it's not quite ready for prime time. I think it's safe to assume that they have a real 909 to compare it with.
I guess that settles the argument for now..

Everybody keeps saying it doesn't quite hit the mark but people also forget the '909's theyre basing this on are more than likely heavily processed finished products. Things like the 1176 or the dbx 160 made a hell of a difference to the drum tracks that made you want a 909 in the first place. Whit...

Genuine question.
Nope. Genuine answer. Its very obvious it is not a 909. The kick has no punch, it is very flabby, the snare sounds completely different and so on

Sounds nothing like a 909. To call this a 909 clone is a joke. Its like trying to clone a sheep and getting a chicken... Or a duck, a pig, a cow.. Whatever. I think thats embarassing really

I've been tempted for a while but its not easy to fork out £600 on something I'm not sure I'm gonna gel with.

I wish it had three independent cv/gate sequencers and better midi integration

The other thing is... I think Moog is just being environmentally friendly here I guess.. You know using old parts, not letting things go to waste... Re-using, re-cycling.. Saving energy... That is commendable right :yay:

I got one of these and really like it but recently has developed a fault:

Channel 2 after 12 o'clock there's a noticeable drop in volume

Has anyone experienced similar and does anyone knows if this is fixable or should I just get a new one?
