Re: What VCO to recreate Arp sound?

Anyone know of any smaller arp clones? I’m definitely interested in the sound but not the size. I don’t want micro but I’ve also basically maxed out my 9u 168hp. Trying to buy a house so another case isn’t going to go down well with the lady.... but I can always slip in another module without it bei...

Thanks helix for all your testing.

Are you overall still happy with it? Is that "jumping into effect", as soon as it hits the lower threshold, bothersome?

Nope not at all so far!

Re: How to Stay in Tune with Eurorack (performing live)

How do you limit the range to one octave? I drew lines around my frequency knob so I have reference points like a normal knob. I hate that so many eurorack conpanies don’t do this for their knobs. It’s just handy and allows far more accuracy than having nothing to go by when you’re turning and setting

Re: Burst generator or resettable lfo..

And of Course if I control that final vcas closing, it will give me the length of “burst” in seconds or beats/bars if it’s done with a clock divider gate output. Send through a branches or similar, or a vc switch and it can be part of a longer sequence rather than every time the gate hits. I want to...

Burst generator or resettable lfo..

Hey all. I’ve been considering getting a burst generator for a while but just thought of something while I’m away on holiday in Cornwall, Staring out the window at the never ending Heavy rain today. I’ve a doepfer a-147-2 back at home, I could send a pulse to reset the start/phase, and use the squar...

And there are so so so many online stores that sell new modules in the uk and even ex demo or second hand.

How are you searching? There’s endless places to get modules In the uk. I travel a lot in the uk and heck I can enter euro rack into gumtree almost anywhere and I’ll get results....🙂

Re: Creating a minimal viable product

Okay. So far I've narrowed it down to the following: Befaco MIDI Thing Intellijel Dixie II+ Intellijel Quadra/Make Noise Maths Mutable Instruments Veils Erica Synths Black Polivoks Befaco Output Am I missing anything to get started? Also, what's an alternative envelope generator as both Quadra and ...

Quad envelopes

Hey all I’m thinking about getting a quad envelope to go into a quad filter, mostly to use with my intelijel shifty and 4 oscs. Looking at the zadar a lot as it can do all the usual shapes plus so much more. How’s the menu diving on it, and how much do you really use all the crazy shapes? Any simila...

Also looking for a similar size distortion. I've been looking a lot at the Noise engineering ones but.... it's quite hard to choose. I've watched all the vidoes and it's out of the multiband or the filter/distortion one. (who ever remembers their names?) They all look amazing, but i've narrowed down...

Have you got a smaller system already and are upscaling?

Re: Favorite module that no one knows?

This summer i got a 1Bit Delay from Feedback Modules... My best eurorack purchase so far. Really often i just plug it straight to the send and return loop of my guitar tube-amp, and i play for hours with delighted ears. It is a rough little module (big in terms of HP and depth), but it can be adjus...

Re: Ochd by Instruo / DivKid

I dont think they're ratios, but just set "to ear" whatever that means. They dont match or cross over like a ratio would at certain points. Thats the whole point in it, so that they dont sync up in any way.

Or thats how it reads

Re: 4HP filters/VCFs with minimal bleed, LPG ability?

Send to a VCA as well and have that follow the envelope? My Doepfer filters seem to cut everyhing at minimum setting, but whether there's any super low frequency info i've not tested! For "normal" synth sounds i tend to route the filter and VCA to an envelope to control volume and filter at the same...

Re: How to send CV / Gate with Expert sleepers ES-9 via Ableton

Is there no manual with it? I don't own one, but is it supposed to show up as an audio interface? Then you might route those audio outs to the ES-9? Random guess! You'd then open up Abletons "cv tool" or whatever it's called and send Via the ES-9 outputs that should show up in a drop down box. I als...

Ah i get ya, i thought it was like, press button to go to next step. MOve slider to position, press button again, move slider, repeat repeat. That would seem morere time consuming than 8 knobs, or sliders. But if you're moving the slider about while it's playing and stepping through the sequence aut...

Re: 1075 mA on Doepfer (PSU2) 1200, risky?

Loads of headroom there. Nothing to worry about i'm sure. I run mine at (according to modular grid) 1153 and nothing is amiss. It gets a little hot, but my case is huge and is around 30cm deep (built it to fit a roland sh-09 on top). I've drilled holes in the front bottom and back top to act as a ch...
