Re: COCOQUANTUS 2 "GETTING STARTED MANUAL"

couple things that make sense to me to try: • when you power on and turn up the coco pot on the right do you get white noise? • try patching in a triangle orange banana (with the switch in middle position) from the tussy to the right coco with chaos all the way ccw and pitch at 10 o’clock. any audio?

Re: normal sidrax behavior?

thanks for the insights. once it happens it’s the press gate on all the barres. it’s only happened a couple times. it’s very odd. and as i said it does seem to resolve with unplugging/replugging the audio out (or restarting). i’ll try to isolate it better this week.

Re: normal sidrax behavior?

not sure - the stereo 3.5 cable has had no issues with any other c-l stuff. i guess mostly curious if the periodic loss of the press gate is something i should write to pb about or if it’s something that others have experienced and has resolved or is just part of the game

Re: normal sidrax behavior?

love sid so much. periodically i have an issue where the press gate seems to give out. anyone else experiencing this ever? not sure i can isolate it to a specific behavior really - sometimes it seems to happen when i make a lot of quick changes. if i unplug the stereo out it seems often to resolve. ...

creative banana stacking in cl

interested to hear about interesting/out of the box stacking techniques people use with cl instruments. i’m also curious- are there stackings i should avoid? for example can i stack two browns into one gongue green? or, say, is it ok to stack 2 orange bananas into one purple/have multiple fm inputs ...

Re: cl and voltage memory

Workflow-wise it's a bit of a pain when you're getting started due to having a modal interface, odd bank selectors, and the playback modes selected with unlabeled rotary controls. I don't use it often so I always have to pull up the manual. The pressure mode also doesn't work very well for controll...

Re: what next for c-l?

since peter seems to be posting prototype pcbs on the cl insta for the production stuber, can anyone tell me about this instrument? how does it compare to sid/tet, pb, coco? i’m excited at the prospect of acquiring a new cl instrument later this year :)

cl and voltage memory

could anyone talk to me about using meng qi’s voltage memory with sidrax, pb, and coco? what’s the workflow like? have you liked it? i’d love to hear experiences and a bit more about the controller used with c-l gear.

kickstarter is a great idea and very successful for projects like this. check out “tough poets press” kickstarters for example. huge props for undertaking this much needed public service project

Re: normal sidrax behavior?

thanks - that’s reassuring. how can i adjust the bars? also - the middle bar in particular seems to do that call and response tone everytime i press it. like - press down and hold -> tone sounds then a short lull then the same tone. i seem to not be able to achieve a sustained note without the two “...

normal sidrax behavior?

hey all - just got my sidrax in the mail today. box was a bit dinged up and sid was sorta... cavalierly packaged. a couple of the barres seem a bit loose-ish which is irksome. im not sure if this is worth writing to peter about but also not a huge deal for me. mostly im wondering if this audio grab ...

Re: COCOQUANTUS 2 "GETTING STARTED MANUAL"

so i just tried op1 with my coco. i’m confuzed and wondering if the piezo input on my brand new unit is nonfunctional. i’m hearing no audio at all from lining into the piezo input with a 1/8 cable and patching the white banana to the green banana on each coco. zilch. the same 1/8 cable patched from ...
