Re: WMD Metron sequencer

That's clever, thanks! Would still like an easier way, but this works much better than what I was doing.

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

I have a feature request (or maybe I just don't know how to do it?): I would like a mode for programming voltages with voltera where if you set the output voltage for a step, it only gets changed for that specific step and isn't held from then on out until the sequence arrives at the next step with ...

Re: Polyend Poly 2

I had a Poly 2 for a short while and my impression was that it was a rather buggy mess with a bad UI. Even more annoying was that there were clearly problems in how event handling / multithreading was implemented (if at all) such that touching the module at any point could lead to unstable clocks or...

For some reason, all threads on this site that are interesting to me to turn into metadiscussions on how other people should run their business. This is really weird.

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

Personally, I don't think the old version sounded all that much better. Maybe slightly different, but not to the extent that it's a different module. I had the old one and traded it away at some point (mainly because it was so huge for what it did). I was very happy when a smaller version got releas...

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

I checked and I was wrong: When the power is plugged in, the power connector is slightly deeper than the microcontroller. I measure about 30mm total, but that wasn't a very scientific measurement, so it may be off by a little. I think it should still be within limits for the 34mm of the pod32 in any...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

Mine is sitting at around -50db with no input and amplitude turned all the way up, so it's quite noticeable. The noise stays when you add input, but of course if your input is 40-50db louder, you don't generally notice it. You can mostly hear it when you keep the amplitude turned all the way up and ...

Re: Rossum Linnaeus Thru-Zero State-Variable Filter

I went ahead and bought one, so I can now answer my own question from above: No, clipping is not an issue, it has a nice soft saturation and can also compensate for the whole range of the resonance automatically. It is also a beautiful filter. The resonance can get extreme compared to most filters I...

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

I finally pre-ordered one. Trying to figure out the case situation.....Is it 28mm including the power connector, i.e. will it fit in a skinny Pod32 or does it need the fat Pod34X? I think the deepest thing is the microcontroller/soc sticking out, so the power connector should not make it worse. I c...

Re: Frap Tools USTA vs Cirklon?

Not as useful as Cirklon is for the whole studio, but a decent subset of what Cirklon can do.. It’s missing many of the cool stuff in Cirklon like probability for trigger sequencing, some of the playback direction options, ability to real time record off quantised timing, nudging of notes, scenes, ...

Re: Rossum Linnaeus Thru-Zero State-Variable Filter

For people who actually own one: Is clipping an issue if the input signal becomes too hot or if there is high resonance? I don't mean saturation, but actual digital clipping. I had the Morpheus and you had to watch your input levels a lot with that module, which was one of the many reasons why I end...

Re: Why isnt there more Adat interface eurorack manufacturer ?

I've been having the same sorts of problems with my ES modules, you're certainly not alone on that. I have 2 ES-3, 1 ES-6 and a whole bunch of expanders (ESX-8CV/8GT). I used to love them for what they do, but the jacks have gotten a lot worse over time. I have by now given up on using them for 1v/o...

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

Received mine today as well. Beautiful and fairly easy to use right from the beginning. I found it a little confusing at first that pressing the encoders is used for switching channels instead of switching steps - which seems like the more common operation so far - but i'm already used to it after a...

question for anybody who has the Complex Oscillator - is it normal that if I have the Mod Index around max on FM mode, the Timbre knob doesnt do much? That's a pity. I've seen similar things on other modules, e.g. Harvestman (which were packed in a plastic bag loosely lying in the box). Wouldn't have expected it from Frap Tools - the last few modules I got from them were bubblewrapped well and tightly packed into their box. Didn't matter much how ...
