Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS

I have a suspicion my HO might be on the fritz. the pitch tends to wobble in almost a quantised manner when I turn the frequency knob before settling down. sounds kind of scratchy almost.. even on the sign output turning the freq manually has a less than smooth sweep. like it's very slightly steppe...

Re: Plumbutter 2 quick start

The audio jacks on the front are there to inject signals into different parts of the plumbutter. Not in front of it, but I remember the leftmost sends signals into the Gongue-filters and the rightmost into the deerhorn (so you can control the amplitude of the incoming signal with gestures). Especial...

Re: digital piano setup

switched pianoteq to mono instead of stereo and it sounds completely different. That's what I was going to suggest. Definitely play with the different output options and mic positions. You might also want to remove any reverb/fx when playing over speakers. If it sounds good on headphones and bad wh...

Re: COCOQUANTUS 2 "GETTING STARTED MANUAL"

The audio connector has a ground (or 0v ref or however you want to call it) connection built in. It's only banana connections that require you to connect ground between different systems because there's no ground connection being established with the banana cable itself.

Backed it. Another +1 on changing/modulating the trigger voltage if possible. Would be very helpful for some applications, although I don't think it's essential.

Re: ableton midi sync w/o transport?

I don't think you can tell ableton live to only listen for midi clock while ignoring transport commands. You could however send the midi messages through something like midiox first and filter the transport messages out. I'm not sure how live will react to getting started manually while receiving a ...

Re: Tesseract Modular Sweet Sixteen

Since it's based on the 16n, it has a i2c connector on the back which you can directly connect to the er-301. Then you can use the sc.cv device on the er-301 to directly use the fader values. You may need to upload a specific firmware onto it, as it needs to act as the i2c master. The firmware is av...

Re: TZFM - we need to talk

An oscillation usually goes through zero, but that's probably not what you mean. The point of TZFM is not that the oscillation goes through zero, but rather that the modulation moves the frequency of the oscillation down to zero and (conceptually) into the negative. But a negative frequency doesn't ...

Re: Recommend me some Eurorack Analog Effects

Doepfer A-101-3 Phaser is an amazing module in my opinion. It sounds amazing as a simple phaser, and once you start patching in feedback cycles (especially through other modules) it can just become anything you want it to be. All the way from subtle filtering to completely insane screaming distortio...

Re: Mannequins "JUST FRIENDS" Manifold Generators

It’s incredibly stable in my experience. It is also somewhat hard to tune, simply because it only has a coarse tune knob. If you have a precise mixer, it can help to mix your 1vo Signal with a constant voltage to add fine tuning.

Re: Wiard VCO II Died... repair or other choices

I also had a very good experience with malekko support for module repairs. I sent them two really old malekko/wiard modules some time last year and they fixed them right up again. Of course I don't know what's wrong with your module, but I'd say it's certainly worth a try. They didn't charge much fo...

Unless I'm missing something about your description, Frap Tools USTA is exactly what you want. It does have four tracks (or eight, depending on how you look at it), though. Hope that's not a dealbreaker :hihi:

I don't think it's what drone was like in 1998 (because it's a collection of pieces that were composed much earlier and also informed by even earlier work of hers and it's not really where the genre itself was at), but yes, it's absolutely amazing work. If you enjoyed this, you should definitely dig...

Exciting! One question I do want to ask is within a track, Both CV channels share a stage length? Or can channels A+B have separate stage lengths which the gate outputs then follow? Basically turning it into an 8 Track sequencer. If not then I presume adjusting stage length on CVa will automaticall...

The loftier dream, though, of it being some kind of universal platform controller just hasn't really panned out. Context: I've used different versions of monome grids of some sort for over 12 years now. I think it's important to first realize what the grid does and how it integrates into a music making environment: It is extremely minimalistic in its function (as in its design). Basically, it can recognize but...

How fast does it sync? I assume that it works fine for slow clocks (e.g. 16th notes), but could I also run an audio rate square wave in there to get 1v/o tracking? If so: :hail:
