Re: why do you prefer modular hardware to software?

I use a pc alot at my work and I'm also in PC gaming.

I do like having a hobby where I don't have to use a computer. Helps me relax. I also don't use my phone when synthing.

So its just me, my modular, and my elektron machines (Digitakt & A4).

Re: envelopes with an integrated VCA?

The Double Andore mk1 is a very lovely module. Two banks of wave tables envelope generators/lfos, triggers, 2 vcas and cross modulation. I haven't tried the mk2. It doesn't have wavetables but it has other functions the mk1 doesn't have. Also you can control the amount of cross modulation between vc...

Getting my first euro distortion module. It's between this and the Retro Mechanical Labs Electro Fuzz Custom. Tough decision ahead.

Can't wait for the game. The 1st soundtrack was sweet. BFG Division is just perfect.

I hope they make another video about the making of the new soundtrack.

Check out the manual. It doesn't specify but I gurantee there's a square. If not, you can upload custom waves. Have at.
Ah I didn't realise the manual was out

Can't wait for this. Coming out near my birthday.

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

This module looks ridiculously good. What kind of waves are in the bank? I was hoping I could use one of the channels as some sort of synced trigger generator with multiplication/division of the master clock if one of the waves is a square wave I had initially planned on getting Pamela's New Workout...

I'm tempted to buy this module but noticed a few issues from this thread. Have any of them been resolved?

Also is the output quite noisy? I've noticed a slight hum on my Erica Synths dual fx module.

Is the new version of this still in the works?

I was tempted to add a lightstright or lightplane to my rig but might hold off if new version is coming soon.

Thanks. Will do. This module in conjunction with a Worng Soundstage could be insane.

Yeah it's a beast. The enveloppes are really useful to send around your system especially with sequencial switches or VCAs in the way. Check the Verbos youtube account they have tons of great patch ideas.

I only have one osc module, Piston Honda mk3. But I think a soundstage in conjunction with Verbos Multi Stage delay would make the Piston Honda seem like more than one voice. Tempted!

This thing looks like a beast. What do you use the envelope followers for? Strange envelope shapes to apply to CV of other modules?

Re: Combining your Modular with standalone synth's

I use my rack with digitakt, cv.ocd and analog 4 with external mixer. I sequence my rack with A4 and or cv.ocd. Also use A4 for effects.

Had been eyeing the performance mixer to get at some point and ditch the external mixer.

Thanks for your detailed response, much appreciated! I'll check out the modules you suggested. Also really dig your tracks on SoundCloud. Sound nasty! Voice : I'd advise to get one complew oscillator of your liking. Either you stay with IME and the Hertz Donut or go analog with any of the great opti...

Need some advice on expanding my rig for droning techno

Hi, I’m looking for advice on how to expand my rig. Apologies for long post. I currently have an 6U 84 hp case (modules in link below) that I use in conjunction with my Digitakt and Analog 4 MK2. I also have a Zoom field recorder. I currently make dark techno with my setup. I either use my rack for ...

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

I just tried this myself and can confirm that the attenuator adds a negative offset to the preset CV input and when set to a lower value a bipolar LFO becomes fully negative, wich is a bit odd. It then alters between presets 2 and 8. The effect gets less prominent of course with less attenuation bu...

There are known bugs in the preset system - at least in the HDIII.

Though I wonder if you tried to set it to preset 2 and then apply the LFO? If it alternates between 1 and 7 know it might work then for 2 and 1.
Unfortunately it did not work. Which is a shame.

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

I seem to be having problems with using cv to move between presets. I currently have the CV set as CV+Atten for the Preset manager. I want to use a slow LFO to move between preset 1 and preset 2 and back again. I start with preset 1. When I set the attenuator knob for the cv, it does not move the pr...

I have the Piston Honda Mk3 and Belgrad in my 6U case. Both are great modules. I haven't tried the E352 but if you want something that's more gritty, you can't go wrong with the PH Mk3. Also you can use it as a waveshaper. The Belgrad can produce very gritty stuff. I've had it for a year and it stil...

I often get all sorts of useful variations on the tone or character of the sounds by turning that small trim pot. It’s most notable with the first third of travel. After that, it’s just pretty blown out. Tiny increments can make a good bit of change. I find this tzfm really useful at adding variati...

Any tips for FM on the PH mk3? Usually when I turn the FM knob I can't get anything useful musically. I have tried changing the frequency of the modulator etc. Although this is not really a dedicated FM oscillator like the Hertz Donut mk3 is.

I just got an elektron analog four and started to use the CV outputs today with my PH mk3 and DA mk1.

Does anyone know what voltage the trigger input expects on the DA mk1?

Currently have it at 5 V but not sure if it's correct.
