Adding my 2 cents: Numerology is awesome, but the interface looks outdated.
Unfortunately, it's so tiny on my monitor that I was forced to stop using it. I hope v5 brings some visual improvements.

Must be. Thanks. I followed the procedure described in the second part of that PDF, problem solved.

Re: Question about firmware update

Hi guys, today I updated the module with the latest 1.20 firmware. When rebooting the unit, along the other "OK" messages there was one saying something like "CV In Tune Not Found". Is that normal? Should I do something? Thanks Looks like you need to perform the calibration procedure detailed here:...

Klang- It’s meant to be used to very short trigger/gates/envelops. I get best results with the shortest possible envelopes you can make with maths or rampage. Or modules that make very short gate/triggers Cv- should be the same as any other filter! Standard envelopes and lfo's, maybe random volts? ...

I know it's a dummy question but I'm struggling with the CV and Klang control Aperture. I wish these products would come with a manual for less advanced users. Tried patching an LFO in the CV but I didn't like it (tried Batumi with both slow and fast settings). Any real life (possibly simple) exampl...

Re: Help!

My Erica black Wavetable just stopped working. It will not power on. All other modules in the rack are fine. I tried swapping the modules power cable and tried different power slots on the power bus board. Could anyone help me with troubleshooting what may be wrong? I would suggest contacting the c...

I just want to add a quick thank you to all those who posted in this thread, some very helpful tips. Keep'em coming. I'm sure other VCOs are more powerful, but I love simple things with a twist, like STO.
Anyone using it with a RYO Aperture, any tips about this combination?

After further tests, I can confirm it's about the power distribution in my case. Removing the daisy chain and plugging those modules somewhere else, they work fine. Which leads me to the ultimate question: TipTop says daisy chains in HEK are fine, but how to use them in a way that they work? My 6U H...

I think it might have to do with the power distribution of my case. I have 2 tiptop hek together in a 6u case. Obviously I had to buy some ribbon cable extenders to provide power to all the modules. Now I don't know if the problem lies in using the extension cables or in the power adapter I'm using....

HEK - How To Daisy Chain Right?

UPDATE: I've edited the subject line to reflect the main problem I am facing. See my latest posts and please answer to those. Thanks Hi, I'm sure this might be a dummy question but I was trying to use a 2HP TM with an Erica Synths 8 MULTI (their hi-end buff mult) and I'm not able to get it to work. ...

Same need!

I'm in the same situation. No CD player and I can't seem to find the Mac version on the Yamaha site.
Anyone?

Thanks!

UPDATE: found it on the Japanese website, but unfortunately the app doesn't seem to run in the latest Mac OS (High Sierra).

Any tips?

I have it all flat now and would like to tilt it, but it feels stuck (and I can't put too much pressure because there's no proper grip) How do you do it? :bang: Did you f...

The patch area on ModularGrid could be really helpful... if it had a search feature, i.e. you type the name of a module and it shows related patch examples where it's featured. Otherwise it's just a random tour of patches. Am I missing something? I like this idea, then I look over to my modular righ...

Just got an answer from Tiptop...

'Remove J7 and set the adapter to 13.5V'

No other explanation. I wonder why 13.5 if it's supposed to run at 15.

This is weird (to me, at least).
I've done a new test with the jumper modification above and there was no smell anymore.
I also connected a module and everything worked fine (used it for over 20 minutes).

Does this make sense to you?

Is there a header on the jumper at J7? From the manual: "The –12V rail uses a switching regulator. This switching regulator needs to have a minimum load of 100mA (out of 500mA) at any given time. The uZEUS has a factory setting to self consume this current. If your uZEUS is powering more than four ...

uZeus Burning Smell - Please Advice!

Hi, one more dummy question, this time about the Happy Ending Kit and its uZeus (second-hand purchase, not with the original adapter). But you don't have Wogglebug anymore in your rack.??? If you are getting the Wogglebug then adding the quantizer is a good idea. It'll work with Batumi as well, but since that is your only modulation source I figured that you are not likely to use it (Batumi) for pitch. I replaced it for now with B...

That's right but the quantizer itself does not generate the CVs, it modifies them to fit a scale. Thus it is used after CV sequencers and random modules. The only thing you have that you can plug into the quantizer is an LFO which would generate arpeggios. That's good fun as well, but maybe not ess...
