Re: Looking for a builder? Post here!

I've got a uJove PCB and panel from Pusherman and the parts, but don't have the time to assemble it (.. the SMT is a problem for me). If someone with experience is available to do it, please dm me.

Just a quick note - FM won’t keep your pitch stable across all settings, nature of the beast. yea, I guess I just assumed this was a TZ vco given all the other great features it had, so the pitch changes now totally make sense. Another read through of the draft manual and looking at the graphic pos...

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I'm having trouble understanding how the RING/AM/RECT and SYNC buttons work when assigning stuff in the mod matrix. It seems like I can get FM of either oscillator with neither RING* and SYNC lit up when I press the button, but I've yet to find a clear und...

You may want to consider that a vintage circuit just isn't going to perform to your liking and save yourself the frustration of trying to figure out what exactly is going on.

DotCom uses a standard 3080 OTA design. This typically requires a huge cut in signal level at it's input and then it is boosted by that amount at the output which also boosts the noise and any CV feed through. " in his opinion, a circuit built on the 3080 is simply bound to be noisy. Since I don't ...

I'm not surprised they sound so similar, since they should be identical (or nearly identical) circuits, mine is a full clone of the original circuit and I believe Doepfur's is as well. This is DIY product and that's where most of the value is meant to come from, personally I have a strong dislike of...

Transistors? Opamp? Please, help. Any chance you can post a sound demo? I've found most euro to have mor...

Quick question: Is there anything more going with the fundamental, even, and odd levels than mixing a sine, saw, and a square?
Check the video again, the odd and even outputs aren't just saw and square waves and the level control for each is a through zero vca (ring mod)

I'm really excited about the Nerdseq Novation Launchpad compatibility. I'm beta testing it right now, you can not only launch/change sequence clips similar to ableton live with it, but also write in sequences with it. making the Nerdseq so much more hands on. its really nice. god dammit my wallet.....

Jumped on this as well, the demos really sound nice and there's something to say for having a system that all fits together and still has all the connections to sit in a larger case.

I'm not sure it's realistic to expect two free running clock sources to be exactly the same like your saying, and I'm pretty surprised you're getting results like that with the A4 and ultranova... do you really not have either of those connected to ableton for sync? There is a difference between a c...

Odd, I just built one today and I didn't have to cut off the 4th leg on the jacks for a 306, but I also built a 305 where cutting the 4th leg is in the build docs.

Where did you get the kit? Mine was recently ordered from Thonk.

Is the pogo pin reset suppose to be depressed all the time and soldered to the pcb, or free moving kind of like a reset button? The pogo is spring loaded so you can push the teensy down on it before solding the teensy into place. This makes sure the pogo is always putting pressure on the contact. I...

Got one out of two of these calibrated tonight. The issues I ran into earlier were a bad 3280 and I had the Init potiometer wired up wrong. The legs are organized 2, 1, 3 and I had wired them up 1, 2, 3. Tuning was a bit confusing at first, until I stopped and took a minute about to think what I was...

I'm pretty close to just writing this off as an educational experience and go with some other PSU (Doepfer? Erika?). Adding a 92mm computer fan helps a lot with temperatures (~20°C lower). But then I have a fan that makes noise and should probably be on its own power supply? And independent of that...
