Re: Oscillator for "organic" instrument

The Mini is below 1000€. While definitely interesting, a ribbon controller cannot be compared to what the MPE in the Haken does.

Re: Oscillator for "organic" instrument

Not Eurorack, nor an Module but my vote goes towards the Haken Continumini. There is really quite something that lets you melt with the instrument to become one that isnt there in Eurorack. In this case its an excellent organic Instrument. I'm also by no means an Keyboardplayer but the way you play ...

Re: CV Chord to Midi

Thanks for the suggestions!
Both the CV2 Midi and Beface look very interesting and seem to be excactly what I needed.

At this point I'm leaning towards the mxmxmx CV2Midi as its quite affordable and very straight forward.

CV Chord to Midi

Hi there, I'm looking for a way to use my O&C generated outputs to drive my Yamaha MODX for pads and chords. The O&C simply driven with my SQ-1 sequencer complete musical relation for the whole rack is simply fantastic but I want to keek this relation also for the Midi 'outworld'. I'm having a Doepf...

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

I'm kind of on the fence bout this Vs a Kermit Mk III purely used for complex envelope shapes. As far as I know the Zadar cannot load/Record custom waveforms, which I find, apart from the quite nice workflow, a bit whack. I wonder how streamlined the workflow of the Kermit will be. I'm especially in...

Re: Clocked looper

I 2nd the 4ms DLD for looping. It's very hands on and fun to lock a from whatever source, going "fully into it" by turning to the wet side. Then playing around with adjusting the vast time range, always locked to the groove of your current jam (if you gave it clock ofc that is) and reversing/normal ...

I just put different process in the feedback loop and this makes infinite colors that you can control manually or CVd I've been done this with the ChronoBlob V1 (Modcan frequency shifter in the feedback loop) and now with the Time Sefari MKII, where I'm just using Blinds to get a little more gain. ...

it's not granular like the morphagene, but you can adjust the amp envelopes and add delay to blend things together. I'm not exactly sure what you're going for. Is it not possible to select a small part of the sample with 'start' and 'end' and then make the sample loop so that, depending on the size...

Delay with an 'open' feedback path can be customized to ave any character you want.

Here's a quite nice Video with using Stages for Downsampling.

I have a question: there is a very audible and unpleasant timing gap whenever turn the Jitter Knob just for a second to the right to get some dynamic Rolls and Rhythmic interludes in. Its like the CPU has to think for a second and then fires the change of in a quick burst. All the steps during this ...

strange there is not more talk about this, and also bump! I was in the market for an Complex Oscillator but then I stumbled on this.. It doesnt get more complex. How does this compare to the Akemies Castle? Does the Humble 4op have a Mix Out for all OPs or do i need to mix them together externally? ...

I found that Maths is especially beautiful on "opening" sustained sounds like pads or morphagene drones from a closed snappy chord to an really sweet decay. Combined with an LPG (I use the Metasonix) it gets nicely round in tone and just pleasent to the ear. Something about the precise fast envolope...

Hey, I finally ordered the AML Neve Kits for an Mic Pre Amp and EQ.

Now I keep hearing you need an 'DI' for introducing Synthezisers/Euro to the 500 Format.. I was planning on hooking the 500 Midas case to my Patchbay, and route from there. Will this work?

Yep its great fun to use, can range from lush to weird glitch when modulated. As others have said a way to clear the buffer when things get a little too wild or you want to start over would be really handy though. I'm guessing a simple power cycle would do the trick. Ha, I'm sure it would, but that...

Do I understand correctly that the Mimeophon has no Send/Return option? Im on the fence between the 4ms DLD and Mimeophon. I can imagine that the Mimeophon can get a tad crazier on those short chorusy delays, but the 4ms DLD seems to shine at longer Basic Channelesque Dub delays, where the Signal de...

Surely the DX11's the sleeper!? Seems like. Picked one up last year as I also finally wanted to get my hands on Fm Synthesis. Had too change and solder 32 Buttons, but it was worth it. The Synth is beautiful and programming isn't to bad on it. I actually rather enjoy sitting down with it. Depending...

Hey, thanks for the long answer. I've read that SY Guide before, cool guy. Some very handy tipps in there. I think you're right about the Envelope follower. Loading up own Waveforms and mix them with complex FM sure gives very satisfying results combined with it! Saw that thread too, there is anothe...
